This was posted at Toho Kingdom today: a USA TODAY article states that Classic Media will be releasing Gojira(1954), the uncut original version of the film, re-mastered and subtitled, on 9/5/06. It will be the first time the original version of this film has been officially released in the U.S.-the release will also include the American version(1956) starring Rayond Burr. The disc will sell for around $22. Also, Classic Media announced that it will release, on the same day, a box set of 6 more Toho kaiju films, all re-mastered and in widescreen format. The box will retail for around $70. This is very good news indeed. :) |
