I have been an NFL fan since I was around 10 years old. My favorite team is the Tennessee Titans. ----Thread starter: during this time of year, the NFL's off-season, teams traditionally scramble around to sign free agents, players who are free, contractually, to sign with any team they choose(including re-signing with the team they have most recently played with). There has been lots of activity within the last 48 hours. Among the more significant:
- 1. Cincinnatti-signed DB Dexter Jackson, a very good defensive back and MVP of the TB Vs Oakland Super Bowl several years ago
- 2. Dallas-released WR Keyshawn Johnson=possibly,...hello Terrell Owens
- 3. Atlanta-resigned solid WR Brian Finneran-despite being a backup WR led the team in receptions and yards
- 4. Tennessee Titans-signed LB David Thornton, lineman Kevin Mawae, and WR David Givens-all solid pickups addressing the team's needs
- 5. Baltimore-signed RB Mike Anderson, who will give the Raven's a physical 1-2 punch @ RB position, along with Jamal Lewis
- 6. Cleveland-signed Joe Jurevicious, in Packmule's opinion one of the most underrated WRs in the league
- 7. Miami-signed QB Duante Culpepper, who can make the Dolphins even better assuming he makes a 100% recovery from a serious knee injury suffered last year vs Carolina
- 8. New Orleans-signed QB Drew Brees, who should help out immediately. It also leaves the inconsistent Aaron Brooks out of a job
- 9. Philadelphia-released WR Terrell Owens, a talented albeit enigmatic player whose last season with the Eagles was unquestionably an unmitigated disaster
- 10. Washington-signed WR/kick return specialist Antwan Randle El, a guy that can help the Redskins immediately on offense
