Many people call the film a masterpiece when actually it is not. Many things that it's claim to masterpiecedom is done with almost every anime now, not to mention that the film is not "deep". The film is just a cramming of 6 manga volumes with the later 3 volumes suffering from the crunching. And America seems to like this film alot more judging on the DVD releases of Japan and America...
