With that said, is there any part of the story that needs work, fleshing out, ect?
I think the best thing you can do is make it longer. Get into more detail with the characters and put the reader in their shoes. That takes a lot of work, though. But I think that if you really like your story you should flesh it out.

I'm sort of in the same position right now. I've got a basic story idea, but fleshing it out into a whole script is going to be hard.
