None of that is in swamp thing or Music of the Heart. But in all seriousness, the whole thing about mentioning other slasher films, prominently Halloween, is a good thing. Plus, the murder of Drew Berrymore at the begining is a classic example of suspence building and one of the numerous refrences to Nightmare On Elm Street, Wes's proudest creation, in the film.
