Romero's was not quite as impressive as Nicholson's, in my opinion. It didn't show insanity, it was just the laugh of a criminal who fancied himself a funnyman. Invader Zim, from the cartoon series of the same name, occasionally pulls off a brutally evil laugh, often overdoing it greatly to a lovable effect. And Heath Ledger's Joker, when laughing, creeped me out something fierce. Then again, anything he did succeeded in that. |
