I got another reply on the Yonggary paper by Keith Aiken: "I'll second Cam's review... you did a lot of work researching this and it shows. Sometimes I had a little trouble following the writing, but if you get this in G-Fan I'm sure they'll help you polish it a bit. On a related note, I helped set up the US premiere of DRAGON WARS so I met Shim Hyung-rae in 2007. He's a very nice man and (not surprising since he started as a comedian). He is also a bit of "carnival showman" who likes to talk up his films like they're the biggest thing ever. So when he talks about spending a year and a half on Yonggary suits you have to realize much of what he says is hype and can't be taken as 100% gospel. To spend 6 months or more on monster suits that wouldn't even be seen onscreen would be a huge waste of time and money, and Shim is way to smart for that."
