The Seven Samurai is one of the finest films ever made. And excellent director (Kurosawa) and a fine cast. And let's not forget that The Seven Samurai inspired The Magnificent Seven.

Besides, everyone knows samurai are way cooler than cowboys. ;)
*Bows Deeply to Ro-Dan*

There would have never been The Magnificent Seven, had Seven Samurai not been made.

....for the record,Kurosawa made much better films than Shichinin no samurai, but Hollywood chose to make it's own simulacrum of this classic...
...in a "bigbudget" way...both are well done.

Owning both of these great films,I still find myself attracted more to Seven Samurai, than The Magnificent Seven.

But you guys knew I'd say that anyhow.

Any body seen Yojimbo/Last Man Standing???
