Oh well. I think it's kind of part of the charm of the film.
That excsuse gets used alot with the Godzilla fandom. Now it has been used too much. There is a stoping line. The only reason I watch Monster Zero is because of the kaiju fights and Nick Adams in a rare role: an American!
Well nostalgia must go a long ways for me with this one then. I like that there's such a variety of Godzilla films out there. Some of them I can just enjoy as campy fun and others, like Gojira, Return of Godzilla, and GMK, I can take much more seriously. I think the Godzilla franchise wouldn't have the same appeal for me if every single one of them was super-serious. Then I applaud you accepting campiness that much...
