Monsterland Associate Posts: 80 Group: Members Member #46 Joined: November 5, 2006	Evan, I can understand your frustration, but I started organizing events when I was 17 years old -- it helped that I was able to get people interested in putting up the money to get started. But, after a couple of events, we were able to allow the events to pay for themselves. Now, many years later, I'm working with a movie theater that believes in my projects and works together with me in making them happen (for the record, my book didn't fund any of these events). What we do, is what other events do -- solicit sponsors and raise money to cover your expenses. Don't give up! I don't know where you live, but if you can find a repertory theater around your locality -- one that shows old movies -- you might be able to talk to them and they might be open to booking some films... You never know!
