I've browsed quite a few websites devoted to great white sharks. I'm inclined to believe the 1945 great white caught off the coast of Cuba, at just over 21 feet in length, is the largest shark ever caught where the length was officially, and accurately verified. That said I also believe, given the amount of things we still do not know about the deep depths of the Earth's oceans, there are probably larger specimens of great white sharks prowling the deeps. How much bigger? Who knows? I believe 25-30 foot long great white sharks are absolutely within the realm of possibility. winky
