Those straits you refer to, Crow, are also caused by the continuing greed of American corporations and those in the upper management ranks who grant bonuses to employees despite the fact the same company is in financial distress. Example: AIG, which just received $170 billion in taxpayer funded bailout money. Despite this company's financial struggles it will grant tens of millions of dollars to various employees, something AIG has told Treasury Secretary and Obama puppet Timothy Geithner it's contractually obligated to do: http://www.ajc.com/business/content/shared-gen/ap/Finance_General/AIG_Bonuses.html?cxntlid=homepage_tab_newstab I've said it once and I'll say it again: Washington(DC) politics and corporate greed, combined with the corruption and ineptitude of state and local governments, is slowly causing the total, and IMO irreversible ruination of the United States Of America. |
