Supposedly Windows 7 and these new procesoors will actually take the program and disturbute it evenly over the eight cores. As for me upgrading I usually do one big build when I get a new computer and casually upgrade. My current computer will be two years old this upcoming Febuary and that's an Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.0GHz processor, 4GB of RAM, Nvidia 8800GT, 500GB HDD, and an old Audigy 2 ZS that I've been using for years now, as for my OS I have Windows Vista Ultimate and I honestly do not under stand the hate it gets. Like I said I'm going to upgrade this Fall and I should be set till next fall when I plan adding in a new motherboard and one of those i9 processors. I also have to add new memory modules because I think the motherboards will only support DDR3 then and I've only got DDR2 but other than that I'll be using my same sound card, HDDs, video card, speakers, optical drives (DVD-ROM and Burner), monitor and probably the same case unless I come across something that looks nice.
