Veteran actor Patrick Swayze has died. He was 57. Swayze passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by family members after succumbing to the effects of pancreatic cancer, which he had been battling for two years. For more on the life of this terrific actor click the link: http://movies.msn.com/movies/article.aspx?news=431218>1=28101 I have always admired the way Patrick Swayze handled himself after first being diagnosed with cancer, then later as he had to deal with the effects of chemotherapy and other side effects from his treatment. Swayze showed class and great courage in the face of an insidious disease that, tragically, takes away the lives of too many people at too young an age. My favorite films starring Swayze will always be Next Of Kin(1989), in which he plays Chicago cop "Truman Gates", and Road House(1989), in which he plays head bouncer "James Dalton". Patrick Swayze will be greatly missed.
