One of the greatest Godzilla films of all time IMO.
I loved the plot, the dark mood of the film, the hippies, the crazy soundtrack.
Its a good fun movie to enjoy on a rainy/foggy day, which I have done numerous times in the past.

I enjoy the film, though I do not rank it as high as you do. For Packmule-Thumbs up: 1. Hedorah-a surprisingly tough kaiju than can shapeshift and spew toxic emissions, making life miserable for Godzilla, and it's emissions lethal to the local populace 2. Something "fishy"-the drunkard in the bar whose excessive drinking has caused him to hallucinate that his fellow bar patrons are all "fish" headed-having reached comparable states of inebriation myself I can relate to the hallucinations, though mine weren't fish. 3. The score-IMO great, though I admit a certain bias to late 60's and early 70's rock-------thumbs down: 1. The bonfire scene-trying to recreate Woodstock with Hedorah and Godzilla nearby...must have been some funny tobacco being passed around in this throng tongue-1 2. The "ooze" factor-a bit excessive IMO-the scene where the bar gets splattered(and the poor cat) comes to mind ---------Overall: a solid, if somewhat different Godzilla film the series, which I always enjoy when I watch.
