Same goes for me, even when I first saw it I described the monster as a "Giant Iguana" and that's not a positive coment, of course back when I first saw it I was too young to even care about the terrible script and so I quite enjoyed the film, but now I watch it maybe once or twice a year. For some reason I still get the feeling that the version shwon at the cinema was slightly longer than the one released later, there was a bit in which Zilla "hugs" the Empire Estate Building, I'm sure that scene used to be longer in the cinema.

Fortunately the animated series based on the movie turned out to be fairly good. Hell, I thought some of the trailers for the 1998 film were good, especially the one where GINO's huge foot comes crashing through the museum roof, trashing the T-Rex skeleton. I also liked the trailer(which was from a scene in the movie) where the old man, in the rain down at the pier, ends up "reeling in" GINO. I also liked that trailer a lot as well. thumbs up
