After tiring, as a much younger man, of consuming several shots of straight whiskey in an effort to improve my chances of falling asleep quickly, I began, at the suggestion of a friend, listening to nature sounds after hitting the rack, e.g. a flowing stream, a river, ocean waves breaking on a beach, that kind of thing. While these CDs have not turned me into Rip Van Winkle, they have improved my sleep and sleep habits. eyebrow |
