Welcome to MONSTERLAND FORUMS! We are a casual and friendly online community of movie fans who like to talk about giant monsters, horror and sci-fi in cinema, on television and on Blu Ray/DVD. There are forums for sports, casual chat and video games as well. For those of you who like making art, writing stories and creating videos, our community includes a forum for these submissions as well. Check out our main index page and other board forums! Anyone is welcome to join our community!

MONSTERLAND FORUMS was created on January 29, 2006 for the purpose of giving fans of giant monster films and other sci-fi/horror movies a friendly online meeting place to discuss all of their favorite films and other things of interest like video gaming and sports.

MONSTERLAND FORUMS has 180,000 posts. This online community, while over twelve years old, is currently no longer as active as the early years(between 2007-2009). Still, we have a half dozen members who continue to participate here.

For those who enjoy giant monster movies be sure to check out THE MEG, opening in theaters on August 10th, 2018. This film, based on the 1997 book "Meg", written by Steve Alten, features an enormous, 75 foot long Megalodon shark! Other giant monster movies that we fans can look forward to: GODZILLA KING OF THE MONSTERS(in 2019) and GODZILLA VS KONG in 2020! PACIFIC RIM-UPRISING(2018), the sequel to 2013's "Pacific Rim", is about to release to Ultra 4k and Blu Ray. In these movies, 250 foot tall robots defend Earth from an assault of other worldly giant monsters(kaiju).

Are you tired or feeling sick?
Both.

The work I do is in reality for men much younger than me which is one reason why I am usually very tired on weeknights. I also have arthritis in my feet and knees which bothers me from time to time, like now.

From arthritis? Isn't going to happen, Matthew. It's a condition most people have to endure as they get older, and appears in the joints of men usually after the age of 40. Pain from arthritis can be managed with prescription medication(which is expensive) or with slightly less potent(and effective) over the counter medications, which is what I take.

I used to run a lot, both in high school and in college, and through my mid thirties. That stressed my knees and ankles a lot, as did other high school sports like football and baseball. I've also worked mostly jobs, since high school, in which I'm on my feet all the time.

The wear and tear on my body is slowing me down. My doctor has suggested I find a new line of work but I would like to stay in landscaping until I'm fifty(in four years).

I'll probably be out of landscaping in 1-2 years.

Do you know what job you will get after landscaping?
No. I would like to work for either Home Depot or Lowes, both large home improvement retailers, in their garden departments. The pay would be less but the work wouldn't beat me up like my current job does a lot and I would have benefits(my current employer offers no benefits of any kind).

I would work on the side doing gardening work(pruning mostly) to make some extra $.

Home Depot and Lowes are not hiring right now in Atlanta, due to the economy in my country. Hopefully they will again in the near future.

We just finished an installation job(trees, shrubs, ground cover and flowers) that took us(six men total daily) a week and half to finish. I'm going to take some pics of it this Friday and I will post pics of this job early next week. The job came out well but it was a real meatgrinder with lots of sizable tree and tree form shrubs we had to move around on a special tree "ball" cart. Very physically demanding work. freak out

I've been watching a lot of episodes of House lately on TV. Anyone else like this TV series, which features Hugh Laurie as "Dr. Greg House", a brilliant but curmudgeonly and sarcastic doctor who, with his team of specialist physicians, take on difficult medical cases? heyo

I'd have to disagree. House not only insults you with sarcasm, he's also got a good point with it.

Blackadder's just a magnificent bastard. The world's best magnificent bastard, but a magnificent bastard nonetheless.
