I am aware of the similarities. That was why I posted them: because they are similar...but NOT the same.
And so you acknowledge their connection to Evil.

Question: how do you hate people you do not know personally? I'm referring to those classmates of yours you do not know, not those you may know very well.
In most cases, with very rare exceptions.

Kex, I have had a loaded gun pointed in my face twice in my lifetime. In each instance, and in retrospect, I don't believe the person pointing the gun at me had any intention of shooting me. Did I assume that at the time of the incidents? No: I assumed they were going to shoot, until, and thankfully, they said or did something to suggest otherwise. The world is filled with so much gun violence now, and I'm not even including the wars always seemingly going on, that I think most people would be inclined to take any kind of talk from someone of shooting, or in some other fashion killing someone, very seriously. I understand that this reaction can be perceived as being overblown and an overreaction. I can. That said I am not prepared to categorize a person as an idiot for reacting this way: nervous or presumptuous maybe, but not idiotic. Two years ago I heard a rumor that a Hispanic co-worker at my place of work was talking about bringing a gun to work and shooting me. I reacted very strongly, taking it VERY seriously and immediately confronted this fellow, asking him if he made this threat. This co-worker denied ever saying such a thing, and did so face to face with me, looking me in the eye. I believed him. Am I an idiot for not being able to figure out that he was just kidding around when he said he was going to shoot me to other workers?
You forget one very critical detail. I did not point one of my spears at anyone, and neither did I actually say I would bring one to school in the first place. I merely mentioned the fact that I had spears decorating my wall, and that I would have used them if I ever would have tried to kill anyone, which I have denied desire to do.

I am inclined to agree. Schools have become much more violent here in the United States, at times. Obviously most are reasonably secure but horrific shooting rampages like Columbine High School in Colorado(in 1999) and the more recent rampage by the Asian fellow at Virginia Tech University(in Blackburg, VA) have absolutely had an effect, and a bad one, on schools all over.
Indeed. In Sweden, violence in schools is nearly unheard of, and thusly, there is far less reason to take any form of action.

And so you acknowledge their connection to Evil No, I do not. I said these words are similar. I do not equate similar with "connection". I'm sure some would, possibly including yourself.

You forget one very critical detail. I did not point one of my spears at anyone I didn't forget any details. The co-worker I referred to in my earlier recollection brought no gun to work either. At least I never saw one. That does not mean I was going to assume he was kidding around when he allegedly talked to another employee about bringing his pistol to work and using me for target practice.
You accuse your classmates who fail to understand that your verbal references about murder are harmless rhetoric of being idiots. That's your prerogative, Kex. Personally, and from what I've seen by way of fights and other various miserable behavior from people, I wouldn't categorize them as idiots at all.
In your schools it sounds as though the overall "climate" is much different than here in the United States.

Ah, I misread. Sorry.
And it's easy. The average person really is an idiot, so I'd rather not think them otherwise and then be disappointed.

You did forget one detail, in fact. I didn't even jokingly say I would hurt anyone. I merely said how I would have done it, empathizing that I would not actually do it, and that I had a pair of spears on my wall.

I do so, yes. I do so because they act much like a modern newspaper; they only care about the WORDS in my comments, not what my comments actually are. By twisting my words around they can then turn what I say into something ENTIRELY different. They heard words like "kill", "spear", and immediately jumped to conclusions that I would possibly bring a spear to school and hurt someone with it.
And yes, Swedish schools, much like the entire country, appear much more relaxed than yours. We don't need to take everything seriously enough to act on because we already feel safe.
Then again, the idiot government has passed the FRA law...

The average person really is an idiot, so I'd rather not think them otherwise and then be disappointed I decided to look up the definition of the word "average". The word has different meanings depending on it's use as a verb or a noun or as an adjective, the latter I believe the way you used the word in the quoted text of this post.
- definition of "average" as an adjective
-
1. Of moderately good quality but less than excellent: acceptable, adequate, all right, common, decent, fair, fairish, goodish, moderate, passable, respectable, satisfactory, sufficient, tolerable 2. Being of no special quality or type
#2 might be subject to opinion, based on the various people who have known me in life. #1 would describe me professionally, based on past and present employer evaluations, it would also match the description my own parents stated about me, that of most people who currently know me now, as well as matching my own personal and professional assessment of myself. Average, Kex. That means I am an "idiot" to you, if we go by your declaration of what you believe average people really are.

I would not consider you average.
It is, however, interesting how you appear to consistently try to make me call you an idiot, as if it would prove something. I do not, however, consider you to be an idiot, rather of an above-average intellect.

You make the mistaken assumption that it is the only subject I talk about. This is incorrect; it is merely the only subject relevant to this discussion. I do have a rather macabre sense of humor, that is true, but I hardly restrict myself to it as a topic.
