I wonder what this movie would look like fully restored. My VHS copy has some age on it and all of the stuff I've seen on the internet looks the same.

I posted some pics above. Indulge! I wonder what the film would look like with the cuts I described.

Yuri, is "Godzilla 85" still being broadcast on the Monsters HD cable channel?

I would also, if I owned a VHS copy of this film, look into having it copied to a DVD-R by a service that does these transfers.

If you do I wouldn't let the copying service know that the material on the tape(that is the film) is copyrighted material, otherwise they may not do it for legal reasons. winky

^Copying service? Why not just buy a DVD recorder and hook up your VCR to it and record it that way? My mother did it that way with that Garfield movie...

DVD recorders cost money. A good one is usually at least $100 and the prices go up from there. Buying a DVD recorder to record one movie, even a handful of movies, may not be a practical thing to do for Yuri, or anyone else with a a few VHS tapes they want to transfer to DVD-R media.

I have a DVD recorder, and it really dosn't improve the quality of the video and software to go through it and restore my VHS Copy is VERY Pricey But if a High quality version is playing on tv, I will have to try to find it. Thanks for the Info.

I would do both, since the MonstersHD version is actualy a rough cut of the US version, kinda like how H666 was a rough cut of Halloween: The Cuse of Michael Myers...

How is it when I do a tribute video or music video it gets pulled for copyright issues and some never get pulled?

The only answer I can think of is that those at YouTube tasked with monitoring posted videos for possible copyright infringement issues miss some videos that would be considered guilty of copyright violation(s). confuzed
