So lucky to what? Make your down disc twos? In that case, I see. Or if we did have a two disc version with the two tv spots added on an identical disc to the one currently released and a second disc of the JP version with most of it remastered and looking a hell of alot better than the version on the Japanese DVD...

From this blog:

The JP version is just as good, maybe a little deeper but not as fun as the US version
What makes the American version more "fun" for you?

Pacing is better, sound effects and score is better, and scenes are better edited.

What disc of the Japanese version did you watch? A DVD-R copied from the Region 2?

I thought this was fairly interesting. The figures look as to have been custom painted for some Bandai hyper figures on a coustom base. A+!

Those figures of Godzilla and Orga look marvelous. thumbz up

It's hard to believe G2K is a ten year old film. loco2

I have a G2K Godzilla in my kaiju toy collection: one of the "Bandai Creation" figures I bought from Oxford Comics earlier this year.

I am quite fond of my G2K Godzilla figure...but my overall favorite toy in my collection is still my '62 "Kingoji" G figure.

I have the Sony(English dubbed) DVD of Godzilla 2000(1999) and the HK Region 3 "Universe Laser" DVD(in Japanese language w/Eng and Cantonese subtitles). I prefer the Region 3. The English dubbing of this film is IMO substandard, the translations often preposterous.

Why does it have to be exact translations? I think that the dub has done something not many do, make the characters it's own.
