Are you going to make the purchase, Lee or search around for a bit?

I'm going to wait until Friday night to look around and see if I can find a few other reviews of it first-if it's still for sale at Amazon at that time I will order it. I like buying a kaiju book every now and then. :)

Suggestion: if you buy them get them from Amazon.com, as they have a better selection than DeepDiscount.com. noddy

According to this blog post at Kensforce a UK filmmaker named Edgar Wright has indicated he plans to do a remake of Gorgo(1961). The link: http://robojapan.blogspot.com/2008/05/is-e...rgo-remake.html

I hope a remake of this old classic gets made. thumbs up

Interesting. Hopefully if they do remake it it'll be a quality film.

Edgar Wright indicated that he would use a man in the suit for this Gorgo remake. That, in and of itself, isn't IMO necessarily bad...if the remaining special effects are good. Perhaps Wright will also employ a combo of suit and CGI. We'll see.

Man in a suit, huh? In this day and age it'll be laughed out of the theaters. I know that opinion isn't popular amongst kaiju fans but it is reality.

I really enjoy Gorgo. The costume has its flaws but the destruction scenes of London were executed real well. I also think the portrayal of sheer panic in the streets of London was nicely done.
