Here's that brilliant overhead shot of SpaceGodzilla in his Crystal Palace I said in my last post. (Sorry for it been blurry)

You know, Matthew, I liked the final battle in Godzilla Vs Space Godzilla(1994) but I thought some of the miniatures in this scene looked kind of shaky. Your thoughts on this?

I didnt notice any of the Miniatures shaking or anything in the film, maybe its just your eye's, the eye's can do strange things.

So... do you think the picture is good?.

very funny
What I meant by "shaky" was not really that altogether good. Sorry. I should have used another word(or words) here.

The picture itself seems kind of blurry. I wonder if Adobe Photoshop 7.0, in my computer, would sharpen this image up. confused

...

...with the exception of the outer space scenes in the first Mogera Vs SG battle, right?

I find it hard to believe that anyone would have liked the effects in that sequence. ;)

The Outer Space scene was the only time the miniatures had a large problem, I didnt like that part, but the rest was IMO good.

Yeah, there was a large problem: the scene was terrible. very funny

I have always considered the Mogera vs SG battle in space to be among the worst effects scenes of any Godzilla film.

I've heard people say that this film is the worst of the Heisei series, and largely in part due to those effects and miniatures. While it's nowhere near the best IMO, i'm not sure if I could call it the worst or not. I'll have to get around to watching it again.

Indeed. You're hearing me say it too, Josh: it's the worst of the Heisei "Godzilla" films. tongue-1

I have watched Godzilla Vs Space Godzilla(1994) many times, along with the other Heisei films. I still rank G Vs SG dead last. It is modestly entertaining for me at best.

Bonus-here's a trailer for Godzilla Vs Space Godzilla(1994):

Many say it, but IMO Its not the worst of the Heisei series, that goes to Godzilla vs Mothra (1992), here's how I rate them from best to worst.

1: Godzilla vs Biollante.

2: Godzilla vs Destroyah.

3: The Return of Godzilla.

4: Godzilla vs MechaGodzilla II

5: Godzilla vs King Ghidorah

6: Godzilla vs SpaceGodzilla

7: Godzilla vs Mothra

Just curious, Matthew, as to your reasons for believing G Vs M(1992) to be the worst and not G Vs SG(1994)... heyo

I have posted that on the GvsM (1992) topic here and possible wrote out my reasons at GS somewhere.

the film just seems.... to girly for my liking... plus that the fairies sing far to much in GvsM (1992).

I have posted that on the GvsM (1992) topic here

Godzilla's look was good, but his atomic ray sound, it pretty silly.

Mothra looks good, but she does look a bit fake.

Battra was very good, even better then Mothra, the design was great.

The Special Effects are fine, but the strings can been seen if you look carefully.

Another thing is that little girl and the Cosmos are a bit annoying.

While I'll be the first to admit this is in no way one of the best entries, I'd say in the whole run it would have to rank somewhere in the middle and it's perfectly enjoyable despite its flaws and in some cases enjoyable because of them. The thing the bugged me most about this was the cutesy scenes with Junior...which while were annoying we had to put up with far worse with Minilla in the late 60's. The film was fast and enjoyable and you can't help but get a smirk out of how tacky the asteroid scene looked. I enjoyed it but in my book it was easily the second worst in the Heisei era.

I didn't mind this movie too much. Maybe it because the whole South seas Island part reminded me of Son Of Godzilla or something. Hattori's score wasn't that bad, either, for just jumping into the series.
