Why the repeated references, and seeming obsession with "the Kiryu saga"?

I am not obsessed as much as much as I am intrigued. In all Godzilla continuities, it has the most interesting continuity and has the most interesting actions in the films. Like when Kiryu goes running on it's own, it is the '54 Goji living again. That is genius. And combining almost all of Toho's non-goji SFX films into one continuity is just fantastic. Plus, it sets a great example into which other films can go, especialy kaiju films. It can fallow the same template into which to do things. |

You're suggesting then that Space Godzilla could have simply remained in the same place, that is, where he first landed on Earth at Birth Island, for the entire Godzilla Vs Space Godzilla film? |

Actualy, it would have been smart. I have hear many theories from diffrent people at diffrent forums that if SG would have stayed instead of taking off in the middle of the battle with Godzilla on Birth Island, he could have offed Godzilla and Little Godzilla and Moguera sepratley and easily... Plus, I bet if his crystal field was larger that he could have had enough energy to stay in the sky throughout both battles... |

Good question: Evan, perhaps you could send this question to Toho's L.A. office via certified letter.

I know the answer. Actually, before Kawakita persuaded Toho to use Moguera, it was supposed to be Mechagodzilla in the 1994 film. Like the scrapped Return of King Ghidorah '92 idea, it would have been too easy to bring back MG...

My reasons for liking GvsSG more then GvsM have been posted before but since you don't know them, I will tell you them... however next time please ask nicely and spell my name correctly. Anyway GvsSG is flawed, I admit that but I still prefer slightly over GvsM for the following reasons: The strange sound effect for Godzilla's atomic ray in Godzilla vs Mothra (1992) annoys me. When Godzilla and Mothra attacked each other in close combat, it looked more like they were hugging rather then fighting. I could see the strings holding up both Mothra and Battra in many scenes and I've got a good copy of the film. The Cosmos (With their singing mainly) and the little girl annoy me (It's a good thing the Cosmos didn't have as much screen time in GvsSG) |

And the "full screen" format does? You do understand that a "full screen" format presentation involves the cropping of the director's original aspect ratio of the film which = you don't see the entire image.
