Looking at that photo of the "Big 3" you posted, Lee, reminds me of how bland and unimaginative the MAT uniform is when compared to that of the Science Patrol or the Ultra Garrison/TDF.

Perhaps Dan, but it does have one thing going for it that the Science Patrol uniform does not: the absence of a tie. I would not want to wear a tie while piloting a jet, or shooting at aliens B)

 That's true. What is up with that tie? Frankly, wearing those things drive me nuts. Having to wear a tie on field assignments and in combat situations just doesn't seem like a good idea to me.

Indeed. Something else that always grated on me was the white boots worn by the Ultra-Squad in the series Ultraseven. White boots? ...I'm old school Dan. Black boots or shoes. To be honest, I have always been of the opinion that the various defense team uniforms in all of these "Ultra" series were a bit too colorful, though I can see why TPC may have preferred them that way. Whether fans liked the uniforms or not, designing them to stand out would make people watching these series remember them, a plus, from a marketing standpoint. eyebrow

The TPC uniforms would've looked pretty damned cool if they had black boots. The white ones are inded silly looking. Makes it look like they're wearing socks.

very funny

It would be kind of hard on the feet to do what they do without footwear of some kind.

I've seen clips here and there, but never seen through the series. I only saw one whole episode, but I like what I've seen.

I have the "Ultraman Jack" series on DVD-R and it's fairly good. I believe you would enjoy the series Kex: Jiro Dan's character, "Hideki Goh", embodies many of the same qualities found in Shin Hayata: confidence, determination, a sense of humor, and the will to fight.

Dang...now that this whole Sampote/Tsuburaya/Chaiyo thing is all settled, I hope we see some Ultraman DVD releases here in the States. I'm STILL waiting on Ultraseven and Return of Ultraman, Tsuburaya!

Here's episode #18 of The Return Of Ultraman, in which Ultraseven gives Ultraman Jack the "Ultra Bracelet" to help "Jack" defeat a tough monster: http://video.aol.com/video-detail/ultraman-jack-18/3309551625
