But I want to make the individual alien much more like the one in the first film. The one that may have actually raped Lambert
What makes you think that the monster "raped" her? I just figured the beast killed her and Parker. I remember Parker(played by Yaphet Kotto) trying to fight the monster and he was assaulted with the monster's piston like inner jaws...a brutal way to die, that's for sure.

I'm watching the "Alien" films this week: so far I've watched Alien Resurrection(1997)(Monday night) and Alien 3(1992) tonight. I will be watching the other two films tomorrow and Friday night.

One of the most fascinating things about the aliens is the fact they are eyeless: none of these monsters have any eyes(the one exception being the Ripley-alien abomination near the end of the 1997 film). Despite not having any eyes these drooling, ravenous double jawed monsters seem to "see" what's around them without a problem. I always reckoned it had to do with their other senses. Anyone else care to comment about this? heyo

It's a theory that some fans have concocted based on an interpretation of the scene. For one thing, the alien's tail starts going up her leg and up her back before the scene cuts.

And then later when Ripley finds Lambert and Parker dead, Lambert is hanging there naked. It's either a bare foot and leg, or both feet and legs, but it's definitely there. I'm not sure what the original intention of that shot was, but I think it's possible that the alien raped her.

Either way, I just like the idea of a creature that we can't fully understand. Something that may be intelligent enough to do something that horrific to a person.

Well they must be bouncing something off of the environment and picking up the reflections. Whether that's sound or some part of the electromagnetic spectrum that's not visible to us, I'm not sure.

I watched AVP-R tonight. I noticed that the aliens appeared identical in design, and their sounds, to the monsters in the 1986 film Aliens. I prefer this design to the design in which the aliens have smooth textured heads.

I am a great fan of "The Wolf"(the Predator sent to "clean" up the mess on Earth) in AVP-R: he was one awesome bad ass! thumbz up

The "Predalien Vs Predator "Wolf" fight from AVP-R:
Spoiler: click to toggle

I liked this battle, both monsters hell bent on jacking each other up and blasting the hell out of each other.

I also liked The Wolf discarding his weapons, then his mask, deciding to fight The Predalien old school. sickko

I have yet to see all of AVP2. I hate to say it, but I was pretty disappointed with what I've seen so far. But I haven't seen the whole thing yet, so maybe I'm judging prematurely.

Nope. The only comics I've gotten into are the Buffy and Angel comics.

Interesting, though couldn't the AVP series be counted as prequels already? I have high hopes for this, since Mr. Scott - the director of the original and a film that I like, "LEGEND" - is heading this one.

Not sure if youve figured it out since you last posted that, but the leg that was shown was Bretts leg from a cut scene from his death. Lambert wore cowboy boots
