MONSTERLAND FORUMS has 284 members and over 148,000 posts. This online community is Zetaboards' fourth most active online community in the "Movies" category(among over 200 message boards). Spring has arrived and with it warmer temps! We're going to see some marvelous new films released in 2013 (IRON MAN 3 and PACIFIC RIM) as well as many terrific classic films finally released to Blu Ray including GORGO(1961) and LIFEFORCE(1985)! Our online community isn't the largest on the web but I think it's the best group with which to discuss all the movies I love to watch and also talk about other shared interests! In 1979 20th Century Fox released Alien. There have been many imitations of this film to be sure, but none, IMO, come even close to matching the white-knuckle terror and suspense of this classic science fiction movie. The story: the crew of the deep space salvage tug Nostromo is awakened from their hypersleep to answer what is believed to be a distress beacon from a desolate planet. On the planet's surface they discover a derelict space ship...and something much,much worse: a malevolent life form that breeds inside a human host. ----Discuss your take on this classic sci-fi/horror film here. :) |

I don't think we have to worry especially with Mr. Scott in the director's chair. He's proven himself a more than capable director. If this is successful I gurantee you Fox will commission him for another and James Cameron has also expressed interest in working with Ridley Scott on an Alien film. I think if those two work together on an alien flick then we could have one of the best if not the best film in the franchise. |

Watching this leaked trailer absolutely has my psyched to watch the first official trailer for this film.   I've always wondered what happens to someone who is caught leaking one of these movie trailers. Does the studio that owns the film rights prosecute those who leak these trailers in any way, e.g. having those guilty of this jacked up and arrested by the police? |

I honestly have no idea what happens to those people who leak photos/videos online. I know if it's a full blown film then they could get arrested. |

Charlize Theron recently offered some comments on the character she plays in Prometheus(2012). She also says during the interview that fans of the "Alien" films will be, in her words, "very happy" with Prometheus. Looks like somebody just took a production photo and tacked it on at the end of actual the trailer. Maybe it's from Prometheus, maybe it's not. Either way, it's clearly not a new trailer. |
