Yep, I noticed that. Bandai and Mobil have also been done. It adds that special touch of realism...
I was a little shocked! Next time, I'll look for Bandai.

If they mention Zilla from the american version. They mention it in GMK. Technocally that makes GMK and zilla in the same universe, right?

He mentions a monster attacking New York. That could be anything (even Cloverfield, since I do not remember that camera nor the characters mentioning the year 2008).

I caught the year on the camera in the beginning I think, tell me if I'm wrong.

But They said a few years ago a monster attacked New York, Mostlikely Zilla.

One more thing, In CloverField,When there in the store looking for things, It shows, up to date Cellphones, and flatscreen Tv's. I No we never had that stuff back in 98.

Japan disliked the american Godzilla movie, so they most likely wanted this in the film for a reason.
big grin
That should be enough proof.......

My understanding was the inclusion of the scene where the two naval officers reference a "monster attacking NYC that was thought to be Godzilla" was director Shusuke Kaneko's "dig" at the American Godzilla film, just his way of adding a subtle bit of sarcasm and humor regarding the '98 movie.

Sarcasm which could help make an actual arch. Zilla from ANimated series vs. GMK Goji = one hell of a fight, better than the GFW fight atleast...

Although Zilla from the cartoon is stonger then the movie counterpart, it would be a great battle, but GMK Goji would tear Zilla apart, His tough skin, and powerful breath would make zilla no chance of survival. But yah, way better battle.

But GMK Goji is slower. So Toon Zilla could do some tricky things like breat his breath onto GMK Goji and knock some tall buildings onto GMK Godzilla.

That could happen, But Where talking GMK Goji! One of the most powerful Goji's ever! He took on Baragon, killed him, He took on Mothra and King Ghidorah head on and Destroyed them both!
I've seen Zilla in the cartoon get missle's shot at him, and he did bleed. GMK Goji, The only way to have him bleed is to have an extremly Powerful energy or force to tear into him.

I'm not trying to start an argument, But come on, GMK Godzilla. His heart was able to survive, Remember he has the collective will to survive. (taken from movie, part where they interveiw the professor.)

No, it just happens. That is just like how you ask how the 74 goji was so fragile and the Final Wars goji wasn't. It will be a diffrent GINO in a diffrent universe so it just becomes stronger jsut because the director says so.

Oh, so just because it fallows GINO it has to be like GINO? Nope, let's add some evolutionary theory. Making GINO strong enough that it will be a good 30 minute fight but JP Goji wins.

thumbz up (note: one of the images you posted is sideways)

I've heard of Shane Morton, Evan. Back in 1998 the Atlanta Journal posted an article about the upcoming American Godzilla film. The article referenced Mr. Morton, and included his picture. He has a huge Godzilla memorabilia collection and the article said the producers of the American G movie 'borrowed" some kind of audio recording Morton had in order to produce the audio effects of GINO in the film. winky

The image had to be upside down so I could get good detail and get the whole thing.

As for his collection, I hope to get some more video footage and even do a behind the scenes of the Silver Screen Spook Show.
