Another rematch. I promise this will be the last "rematch" fantasy match for a while. The contestants: Jim Everett, former L.A. Rams quarterback versus Jim Rome, currently employed as host of his own sports talk show on Fox called Rome Is Burning. As most NFL fans know, many years ago Jim Everett, while being interviewed on Rome's show, was referred to as "Chris" Everett by Jim Rome. Everett took exception to the nickname(part of a talking point in which Rome had questioned Everett's physical toughness as a football player). When Rome repeated the reference the quarterback got out of his seat and bowled Rome over a table. I personally do not think Rome would have put up much of a fight, unless properly motivated. The location of the rematch: the Fox studio of the original scuffle. The rules: the first one knocked out wins. The stakes: if Jim Everett wins, he gets his own talk show and $2 million in cash from Fox and if he loses he has to wear a Chris Evert overhead mask for a week. If Jim Rome wins he gets to keep his show and also receives a $2 million bonus-if he loses he has to go to work at a nearby McDonalds as the parking lot porter. Battle rules: no weapons, just fists ----Packmule's prediction: Jim Rome is, IMO, an arrogant, smart-alecky blow-hard who is nevertheless highly motivated by a pile of cash, so he fights hard. It still isn't enough. Jim Everett successfully jacks up Jim Rome and slams him through the interview table. The next day Rome is seen sweeping the parking lot of a McDonalds in a neck brace. tongue-1

Yeah, I'd like to see that scnario played out. Rome is so obnoxious. Plus, he's so arrogant that he won't share his radio show with another co-host. Do you know how monatonous it is to hear one voice for 4 hours straight?

Actually, no I wouldn't, as I have never listened to Jim Rome for more than a few minutes before switching the channel... tongue-1 . As for not sharing his show with another co-host I think you can chalk that up to two reasons: 1. his arrogance and 2. fear that he might piss off his co-host and get thrown over the table :D

I came across the video of the original Jim Everett Vs Jim Rome skirmish on the TV show Rome Is Burning. Click the link to watch it. It's kind of funny. Jim Everett Vs Jim Rome on YouTube

I can take or leave Jim Rome's show on ESPN, and he looked like a complete puss during this skirmish. lol
