You said Xilian costumes for one, "You're saying that the design for the Xians' uniforms was because of some action and/or influence by Mr. Saperstein?" See? It says Xilians and not Yellow Space siut. Second, I never said he directly effect the XILIANS siuts, but he did effect them indirectly...

I do not know where you are getting this yellow siut thing from. You said XILIAN and I mean XILIAN!

Oh well. I think it's kind of part of the charm of the film.
That excsuse gets used alot with the Godzilla fandom. Now it has been used too much. There is a stoping line. The only reason I watch Monster Zero is because of the kaiju fights and Nick Adams in a rare role: an American!
Well nostalgia must go a long ways for me with this one then. I like that there's such a variety of Godzilla films out there. Some of them I can just enjoy as campy fun and others, like Gojira, Return of Godzilla, and GMK, I can take much more seriously. I think the Godzilla franchise wouldn't have the same appeal for me if every single one of them was super-serious.

Then I applaud you accepting campiness that much...

Is there some significance to use posting this single word?

Yep. Does anyone remmeber when I posted:

"In Will Shatner's KAHN! voice:

TOMIYAMA!"

Same thing, only with Tanaka. But Tanaka did a good job with the series, since he did do the first 22...

I have observed your disdain for Toho's Shogo Tomiyama with admitted amusement, Evan.

I'm curious as to how you'd react to Mr. Tomiyama if you were to enter and win a Godzilla fan fic contest, the prize including an all expenses paid trip to Toho's Los Angeles(CA) office to personally meet Shogo Tomiyama, and also receive some complimentary goodies like free Godzilla Region 2 DVDs, figures and poster art. Would you still begrudge this man or would you suddenly become his best friend, even a suck up? heyo tongue-1

It is not the man I dislike - it was his choices and his reasoning. If I met him, I would treat him with respect like I would do with anyone else. I would not question him though, since I know that would be a waste of my time.

As for the scenario itself, hell would have to freeze over twice...

It froze over when Guilala's Counterattack was made...

what are astro monsters
A reference to Godzilla, Rodan and Ghidrah(aka King Ghidorah) and part of the title of a Toho film they star in called Invasion Of The Astro Monsters(1965), a movie whose alternate titles(American and International) include "Monster Zero" and "Godzilla Vs Monster Zero".
