My girlfriend is pretty big into Linkin park, I find them enjoyable to listen to on occasion but their sound can get a little grating to me, as most heavy rock/metal does.

Most people probably haven't heard of bands such as Combichrist, Margin Of Error, or Psyclon Nine, but anywho:

2. 4 Point Perspective - Hazmat
3. Systematic Chaos - Dream Theater
4. Destroy Create Repeat - Margin Of Error
5. You'll Rebel To Anything - Mindless Self Indulgence
6. Absolution - Muse
7. Nevermind - Nirvana
8. Divine Infekt - Psyclon Nine
9. Lateralus - Tool
10. Dirt - Alice In Chains

(Not in a specific order.)

Iron Maiden - Number of The Beast

Black Sabbath - Heaven and Hell

Queensryche - Operation Mindcrime

Helstar - Burning Star

Dream Theater - Scenes From A Memory

Judas Priest - Screaming for Vengance

Ozzy - Diary of A Madman

Motley Crue - Too Fast For Love

Helstar - Remnants of War

The first 5 I figured out in 2000 and they came pretty easy. CD's 6-10 I figured out in 2007 and it took a while. I went was in high school from 1981 to 1985 which is when most all of these albums were released.

Here's 10 that are true personal classics though there are probably alot of others I'm forgetting...in no particular order:

Bob James - One

Sade - Love Deluxe

Weezer - Blue Album

John Coltrane - Blue Train

Herbie Hancock - Headhunters

Eagles - Hotel California

Raekwon - Only Built For Cuban Linx

Bruce Springsteen - Born In The USA

Robert Miles - Dreamland

Michael Jackson - Thriller

I chose these 10 because they were albums that came to mind quickly in which I could listen to from start to end without skipping any tracks, they are that good.
