Post and discuss your favorite cartoon characters here. Thread starter-Packmule's:

  • 1. Scooby-Doo----The goofy, lovable great dane has been going strong since his debut way back in 1969. His hilarious fear of ghosts and monsters is matched only by his appetite, which includes just about anything and everything. If you invite him over for dinner, you better have plenty of grub. The Scoobster also possesses,I think, arguably the funniest laugh in all of animation
  • 2. Bugs Bunny-----This legendary lepus possesses a wry, sarcastic wit, and employs it at will vs his usual fodder, Daffy Duck, or some other poor victim, like Elmer Fudd, who always seems to have the huckster rabbit in his sights(shotgun, that is), but can never get Bugs, partly due to the rabbit's timely escapes, and partly due to his own squinty eyes. Indeed, this carrot- munching juggernaut of animal comedy has few, if any equals
  • 3. Foghorn Leghorn----The rooster with the "Slim Pickens" drawl is a bird of many talents, at once a mentor to his small, feisty protege the "Chickenhawk", and also able to conduct full-scale military operations against his hated rival, the dog. Foghorn, despite the many aggravations he faces in day to day living, keeps going like the good soldier he is.

I'm a big 'toon' fan from way back, so I have a ton that I love, but I'll try and keep my choices to a minimum. ;)

01) Fred Flintstone-Just love this series and in spite of Fred being loud, obnoxious and overbearing at times, he does have a good heart.

02) Bugs Bunny-One of my Saturday morning staples as a wee lass and I still love that goofy hare. He was the ultimate showman and could outsmart almost any foe. His facial expressions still crack me up and I always loved the 'musicals' that Bugs was part of.

03) Scooby-Doo-I loved the original series that began in '69 and when the gang moved into the 'Scooby-Doo Movies', it was fun, but the original series was excellent, great characters and how can you not love a big loveable dog that has a bottomless pit for a stomach? :)

04) Yogi Bear, Atom Ant, Wally Gator, etc.-I love most of the Hanna-Barbera toon characters. HB seemed to have a knack for making their toon characters seem evry real and believable and in many instances, you could almost pick a character and compare them to someone you know.

05) Peter Griffin (Family Guy)-Yes, he's crude, rude and definitely not a model husband or father, but he does manage to crack me up!

Well, my favourite cartoon characters possibly all come from Anime, but I got lots and lots of them, I'll tell you a couple now and when I can think of some more I'll add them.

GOKU: The main character from the very famous DragonBall, I like him cause he reminds me of me, he's lazy, he'll only fight when he's angry, and he's scared to death of injections.

DEVILMAN: Another one of my favourite cartoons is Devilman. In some way similar to Ultraman, Devilman (a teenager who's merged with a Demon) grows to a gigantic size in order to save humans from giant Demons.

SHIN CHAN: The most perverted 5-year-old in cartoon history, Shin Chan is the main character of what I consider the funniest TV show on the planet, his idol is a Kamen Rider/Ultraman-like character called "Action Kamen".

All cool characters. I have watched DBZ-the actions sequences are sometimes pretty intense. No love for any of the Hanna-Barbera cartoon characters eh?

Eh...what's up doc?

I do like Hannah Barbera cartoons and Warner Bros cartoons (in fact I've never met anybody who dislikes them), but usually I preffer characters from Animes.
However, I've always loved Daffy Duck, probably due to his behaviour towards Bugs Bunny, he's jealous that Bugs Bunny always gets more attention than him:

Indeed, Daffy always seems to have a "bone to pick" with Bugs Bunny. I always enjoy the Bugs Bunny Vs Daffy Duck episodes. thumbs up

Hey Lee, have you seen the one in which Duffy blows himself up in front of a very big audience?
I think he died on that episode.

I'm afraid I missed that one freak out ...another Hanna Barbera cartoon icon who has always been one of my favorites, is pictured below, with his sleeping rival:

Ha ha ha, I remember him, he was one of my favourites, unfortunately you never see him very often, come to think of it, I haven't seen him for years, on any cartoon!!!

Indeed, I don't see as much of Foghorn Leghorn as I used to either...he's probably around somewhere, with his small friend the Chickenhawk...

No I haven't, a shame really cause I like 60's cartoons; the only Johnny Quest broadcasted in the past few years has been the more recent TV series (from the 90's or so).
