Hey, nice site thumbs up |
| 'The void is that which stands right in the middle between this and that. The void is all-inclusive, having no opposite — there is nothing which it excludes or opposes. It is living void, because all forms come out of it and whoever realizes the void is filled with life and power and the love of all things' - Bruce Lee | |

And owned/operated by a very nice guy in John Bernetich. So far I have bought The Herculoids(1967), Space Ghost(1966), Frankenstein, Jr.(1965), and Galaxy Trio(1967) from him. I plan on getting a couple more before the end of this year. I think you would love the classic Space Ghost and Herculoids-both series have lots of action and some very cool monsters. thumbs up |

Never too late to join in a discussion right? I just watched an animated show and I happened to be on here at the same time. I guess my favorites would be: 1. Space Ghooooost. But loose the damned kids. And the monkey. 2. From the Venture Bros. DOCTOR BYRON ORPHEUS!!! If you can find me a better Dr. Strange parody please, please tell me. I love his theatricality and showmanship. 3. Dr. Quest. All the crazy whiz-bang adventures made me watch the show as a kid, but I never felt much for the kids or Race Bannon. Quest was the brains who figured everything out. 4. Spike and Mugen from Cowboy Beebop and Samurai Champloo respectively. Now it should be said I generally hate anime. But aside from DBZ (as a kid but still fond of it), Ghost in the Shell and these two, it's true. But I LOVED their characters (both are from separate series but created by the same person). Both were to calm and relaxed and so morally confuse-d. Both moved so slow and lazily but when the action started I've not seen a better fighter in a real or animated realm before. 5. Batman the animated series. Forget Bale, forget Keaton, forget Kilmer, West and Clooney (PLEASE forget Clooney) this was the real Batman. Everyone, from the Joker, to Two-face, to the new origins for Mr. Freeze and Harley Quinn, everything about the show was near perfect for Batman lore. But Kevin Conroy will always be THE Batman as far as the voice goes. Edit: Uhh, every time I say the word confuse-d, the confuse-d smiley appears... Confuse-d - confused |

Never too late to discuss toons! When we went to digital cable about a month ago, one of the channels included was, Boomerang. I love this, just for the classic toons they offer. The Flintstones, The Jetsons, Yogi Bear, etc. One toon I never thought I liked was, Top Cat, but this series comes on early in the AM and I've been watching it of late and kind of like it. I never picked up the DVD release, but may just do this, now.

I've fixed that problem. Sometimes in "naming" the board emoticons I use actual words. My apologies Crow. |

I might have to say Lion-O from Thundercats or He-Man...maybe Optimus Prime from Transformers. I love the 80's action cartoon shows. |

I wonder why, as a fan of animation, I have a hard time dragging myself into the 80s and beyond, as far as cartoon series go? As mentioned, I enjoy, Family Guy and there have been episodes of, The Simpsons, that I enjoy, but I swear, most of my cartoon enjoyment comes from the late 40s through the 70s, I think. I don't like all toons from those decades, but many I do. I never really saw much of, Thundercats, He-Man or Transformers and so if they are aired at all, now, I don't watch them. My idea of fun toons would be: The Flintstones The Jetsons Yogi Bear Scooby Doo.....original series Jonny Quest Atom Ant I never thought I cared for Top Cat, but over the past several weeks, I even enjoy that. I can't say that my enjoyment of certain animated series is based on nostalgia, completely, as some of these series, I've always loved and continue to, but at this stage in my life, I'm wondering if nostalgia doesn't play a bigger part, too. Unfortunately I don't believe they air any of these right now, but there are a few good ones on Boomerang, such as Superfriends. It seems like you may be more into the comedic toons, Kimi, as opposed to the ones I mentioned which were more action oriented shows. |

Since this is about catoons and not anime, I shall be listing cartoons... 1. Ed, Edd, N Eddy This series is one of the most notorious toons out there. With a large fanbase, it is a flashback to the late 70's. We got the horror movie loving one, the einstein-like one, and then the get rich fast one. With characters like that, why wouldn't you want it 2.Tom and Jerry More of the late 40's early 50's type toon which has survived to today, Tom and Jerry is just a classic. There is no explaining it. 3. Popeye The classic story of makes wanting a woman, only the little guy has a can of spinnage and kicks the bigger guys ass. AKA Popeye, Olive Oil, and Bluto. Now, some episodes are sometimes diffrent and has Popeye trying to save a friend from being decapitated in the medeval times in EU, but it is still a classic. |

Bugs Bunny like ,stated numerous times. For some reason I always did, love the Fairy Godparents in 'Fairly Oddparents'. I remember animation being a big part of my life. Especially, between the ages 7-12. I lost interest when I was 14 though and start leaning on to other things(horror genre, scifi, literature, other geek stuff). I remember watching Cartoonetwork, Nicklodeon, and Disney back in the earlier days when animation was their prime entertainment(before the teen shows started coming). Man, those were good times. Sadly, now all of these channels have gone downhill. They do have decents shows here and there but, nothing truely special. Although, it may be nostalgisim on my part. |
