Packmule's vote: neither, but I still like to catch the older Scooby-Doo episodes when I can.

I loved the Cartoon Network back when it first came on our cable system, as they had all the classic toons......The flintstones, Scooby-Doo, etc. Now, they've really changed their format and show very few classic toons. I believe most of those are shown on, Boomerang, which sadly, my cable system doesn't carry. I will watch CN for Family Guy and occasionally for Tom and Jerry or Scooby Doo, but do they even sjow the classic Scooby Doo episodes, anymore?

It's kind of like, Nick @ Nite, they used to be awesome with classic TV shows, but not anymore. That kind of went downhill and then TV Land picked up the older shows...now they're switching to more modern series, in my opinion.....what happened to the love for all things, classic?! thumbs down

It would seem that it is being kicked to the curb. thumbs down
Topic: it seems that the newer cartoons(say those from the mid/late 90's to present) are more heavy on the effects and less on the characters and the music. As for my own viewing of The Cartoon Channel, it has become minimal. I would also rather watch Boomerang, but my cable provider does not provide it freak out .

I agree, it seems the love for all things classic is quickly being pushed aside like an unwanted step-child! thumbs down

I have begged our cable provider to carry Boomerang but no such luck. Whenever I go to my youngest brother's house, he and his wife simply hand me the remote, so I can watch Boomerang. Mr Green What's neat is, they even have Boomerang/Cartoon Network on demand, so they can choose certain toons to watch! :D

IMO Boomrang/Cartoon Network "On Demand" should be in every household's cable box in the world. B)

It's certainly a shame! There are some modern TV series I like, but they seem to be far and few between and quite often, it's spin-offs from one show that I really enjoy....CSI: Las Vegas, Miami and New York, Law & Order and L&W: SVU, ER and Criminal Minds get most of my attention, these days, but I really loved seeing some classic TV on N @ N and TV Land.

I watch cartoon network for only specific shows like anything on Adult Swim and Code Lyoko and Naruto.

All the new shows are crap, I miss older cartoons like Tom and Jerry (My all time favorite cartoon show) which isn't on TV much any more.

When I'm not watching sports, I'm usually watching something off of the Cartoon Network but I only watch the following shows: Ed, Edd and Eddy, Ben 10, The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy and Naruto. Cartoon Network did use to have some pretty good anime series on there but they cancel a lot of them or move them around so much you can hardly keep up with them. Naruto is the only one I really like nowadays (got both uncut special edition DVD box sets and waiting on the 3rd set to come out).

The "Naruto" character is very popular among the young guys at the ATARI forums(Godzilla and other forums). :)

No, the guy from my sig is a character from the show named Sasuke Uchiha. But it's quite an interesting series, even the dub series isn't that bad but the uncut version is always the best. Plus Cartoon Network is way behind in the series so I've had to go and download a large part of the 2nd half of the 1st part of the series. faster <!--emo&shifty eyes-->Posted Image<!--endemo-->
