Though I don't watch much animation anymore I was impressed with the animated "Transformers" at the Cartoon Network's main website: http://www.cartoonnetwork.com/tv_shows/tra...ersa/index.html

Have you ever watched any of the older Hanna Barbera cartoons from the 1960's, like Space Ghost(1966), The Herculoids(1967), Galaxy Trio(1967), Jonny Quest(1964), Frankenstein Jr(1966), or Birdman(1967)? heyo

Bleh.

This is what I grew up on Smythe:

Space Ghost(1966)- "The Heat Thing": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vUWCUsTUH78

Galaxy Trio(1967)-"Invasion Of The Sporoids": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Lev1mgtGJ4

Mighty Mightor(1967): "The Return Of Korg": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FcwhtA-Lk9o

The opening sequence(with voice over) for The Mighty Mightor/Moby Dick(1967), with full orchestral backing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aDbtWrAXHbo&feature=related

The opening credits for Birdman(1967): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4utKWsS52I8&feature=related

The opening credits to The Fantastic Four(1967): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cHyz_3OriYg&feature=related
(man I love seeing Ben Grimm put a double axe handle to that wall)

I have found a few shows on CN to be interesting - I enjoy checking out adult swim now and then but don't tune in regularly.

I still find myself longing to watch the cartoons of the 80's that were big...Transformers, Thundercats, He-Man.

There was also a show featuring giant monsters called Inhumanoids...I had some of the toys.

I've found a large majority of Cartoon Networks shows to be rubbish....bar some of the things on the Adult Swim block I like Aqua Teen, Birdman, Robot Chicken and Sealab and Space Ghost and Brak have their moments but I've never liked Squidbillies and The Venture Bros. so even Adult Swim is abit of a mixed bag....Though I think cartoons from the early 90's when I was young were far better then ones you get these days.

I haven't seen any....though I can't think of any time the 60's Spiderman cartoon aired in Australia in my life time....I did watch the early to mid 90's Spiderman series religiously when I was young....but no I haven't gotten to see it

Galaxy Trio(1967)- "Titan The Titanium Man": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4nJnkJimhm0

Watching these three in action, I've reached the conclusion if a live action movie was ever made of this series Jessica Biel would be perfect as "Gravity Girl". tongue-1

That brings me back to a time before I was born.

As for Jessica Biel....if that were to happen I hope it goes better then then the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake....though that's probably more due to a lousy script and bad wardrobe department....really didn't sell the point that it was supposed to be in the 70's

The voice dub of "Metallis", in this episode, sounds like Ted Cassidy. ;)

I watch it off and on. Space Ghost Coast to Coast, Venture Bros and Harvey Birdman have been longtime favorites of mine. The occasional episode of Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends catches my attention, but I far more wish I could have Boomerang like the rest of you. I'd love for a network to broadcast Justice League AND Superfriends which Boomerang does both. Other than the oddities of Adult Swim, I don't watch too much CN. I've also been craving some Thundercats, Johnny Quest, He-man, Thundar and Voltron recently for no reason. Just want some old classic animation.

Crow, the original Jonny Quest is on DVD. So is He-Man.

Jonny Quest(1964)(all episodes) on DVD for sale at Amazon.com: http://www.amazon.com/Jonny-Quest-Complete...n/dp/B0001MZ7J6

He-Man on R1 DVD at Amazon.com: http://www.amazon.com/He-Man-Masters-Unive...l/dp/B000ALM4GW

Space Ghost/Dino Boy(1966) and Birdman/Galaxy Trio(1967) are also on R1 DVD. You can find them for sale at DeepDiscount.com or Amazon.

I'm still waiting on these animations to be released on R1 DVD:

The Herculoids(1967)
Mighty Mightor(1967)
Moby Dick(1967)
The Fantastic Four(1967)
Frankenstein Jr/The Impossibles(1966)

(I have all of these on DVD-R but they're VHS quality to look at)
