That's sad. I can listen to the score pretty much all the time, but my wife HATES the King Ceaqsar song.....and so does my mom. weird. I do agree with the "Cutsie" looking Godzilla suit from the 70's. The one for this movie is pretty much the same from Godzilla vs Megalon, but it's a little tamer and the suit actor makes him walk like a pissed off drunk guy. lol |

I thought the Godzilla from Godzilla vs Megalon walked alright, I personally say the Drunk Godzilla is from Mothra vs Godzilla (1964). |

I don't think Godzilla looked particularly drunk...however I did find that since the mid 60's Godzilla's mannerisms seemed to become more humanized to the point Godzilla where from an animalistic giant monster and force on destruction into a giant anthromorphic hero I'll have to say this film did do pretty well in music with it's jazzy upbeat music but I've always preferred Akira Ifukube's music as it always seemed to creat a proper sense of tension inf the battles even in some of the more cheesy films I found his work added something....but I do liked the music here as well. |

Who played Godzilla in this movie? I was talking about how he carried himself. Walking with his head down and stomping very hard as he walked. Much different from the other films. Watch the scene where he reappears to "Save" King Ceasar. Head down, Looking over his brow. Pumping his arms with every step. Not that it's a bad thing. just different. |

So, I just got home from a meeting today and was really tired. I put Godzilla vs MechaGodzilla on and you know the beginning, where Anguirius is roaring at the beginning and Godzilla appears out of a mountain or something. Was that supposed to be taking place AFTER Anguirius' battle with MechaGodzilla? But it was just put at the beginning for effects. And I know that wasn't monster Island. Any ideas? |

confused I haven't watched Godzilla Vs Mechagodzilla(1974) since the fall of last year so I may have to look at it again before I can give a specific response. I'm familiar with the scene where Anguirus fights with "Godzilla"(actually MG disguised as Godzilla), gets his mouthed ripped asunder and goes retreating back into the ground. I always figured this scene was produced to establish that, despite the Black Hole aliens attempt to make their machine look like Godzilla, it wasn't going to fool, at the very least, one monster(Anguirus), as well as, obviously, and later, the real Godzilla. |

The very beginning, before the titles. Anguirius is walking along and Roaring and Godzilla Pops out of this mountain and then the titles appear. It's weird. I've seen this movie hundreds of times and It just hit me the other night that this scene actually took place AFTER Anguirius' battle with MechaGodzilla and he was "Calling" for Godzilla. Am I just crazy, or does that make sence to anyone else? |

I watched Godzilla Vs Mechagodzilla(1974) earlier tonight. In the opening scene I see Angilas slowly moving about some large rocks and boulders, then the monster roars. The camera moves away from Angilas to a large outcropping of rock by the ocean, where there are several flashes, seemingly coming from the rock itself. I didn't see Godzilla emerge after these flashes, just the title of the movie appear suddenly on the screen. |

But do you get the idea that this scene takes place AFTER Anguirius' battle with MechaGodzilla? That wa what I though of, anyway. Kind of like in Pulp Fiction, where some stuff that takes place at a later date is at the beginning. Or maybe I'm just crazy. |

Not initially, no. After thinking about it a little...I could see how this scene would be used in the manner you suggest, kind of a pre "flash forward" scene. |

Thank the Maker! I'm not crazy! It seemed like that idea might work and all of the new ideas they were trying in the '70s. I figured that might be it. And it's a good way to prove that Anguirius was ok after his battle. He was calling for help. |

I've read that Toho is cracking down on YouTube to not display these videos hence YouTube may have effected the removal of this clip. The person who posted this clip may have also removed it voluntarily. |
