IMO the fandom took it's first steps in decline after the GMK was released by decline I mean the fueding amongst ourselves and it only got worse in 2004 because of Godzilla's 50th, Final Wars and Godzilla Save the Earth this is when most of the stupid immature little kids got on the net. It's even worse now that we don't have any new Godzilla films or rarely any kaiju films coming out for that matter. |

Concerning kids on these boards I have always tried to be patient, and tolerant, to the oft struggles these young people(early to late teen) have with their grammar, spelling, punctuation, and ability to express their thoughts and opinions in a reasonable manner. I will continue to do this based on the belief I have, however misplaced it may be, that these young ones can benefit from the practice of communicating with each other, and with the older members of these forums. There are, unfortunately, too many of these teenage members on the boards that do nothing more than spam, troll, post rambling, incoherent nonsense, and the occasional sarcasm and/or outbursts of insults. This has no doubt, as you alluded to, exacerbated the struggle for many to generate reasonable topics for discussion on these sites. There is, I think, a great deal of arrogance and selfishness among the major discussion forums, as pertains to the younger set. It is disheartening to me, because in my personal opinion arrogance and this "I can post whatever I want" mentality are the last two things that should inhabit a forum. No one is perfect. We're all going to have our moments of sarcasm and testiness-that is a given because, as human beings, we have emotions that are not always going to be good. The problem is that these "moments" I refer to are, for many, not moments at all, but a common denominator of all of their post content. thumbs down Does Armand Vaquer still work for J.D. Lees? |

I think I mighy start buying them once there's some new news about the Big-G, the main reason to why the quality has gone down is probably the fact that there isn't much news about Godzilla anymore, I expect the new "IMAX" film due for release 2007 might jump-start the quality slightly. |

I'm sure the lack of new Godzilla films is partially to blame for G-Fan's content. I may re-subscribe when we hear rumblings of a new film. 2013 is still a ways off. |

I know that's what I'm going to do very very soon, skipping the releases next month of course and getting the remastered R2s. That's what G-Fan should do is run a retrospecte on the Ultraman I know I did enjoy there little mini article on Ultra Q about three summers ago. I know I was going to do an article series for G-Fan but the first installment has yet to be printed after being sent out a year ago. |

Well I would get those if I didn't get paid £3.50 an hour, which isn't much in the UK, especially when I only work about 2 hours a week!!! I'd have to save up for over 3 weeks just to buy 1 Ultraman DVD and the 4th week is to pay the delivery cost!!! I WILL buy Chayo's collection (If they come out) for the same price, that is the BEST option for poor students such as myself. |

Now that both my Ultraman and Ultraseven "DVD-Rs" are showing pixel breakdown and other picture-related problems, this is a definite wakeup call to stop buying these DVD-R copies. Good God, these two sets are less than eight months old, rarely watched, and are already failing to play on three different DVD players I have, all configured to play, among other things, DVD-R's. very angry For what's it worth Tom, I look forward to seeing that article in G-Fan. What was it about? Maybe you could post it here. ? |

I plan on doing a retrospect of kaiju video games from the past my first piece was covering Godzilla Monster of Monsters for the NES. I think I'll resubmit it to JD later this week does anyone have his e-mail address? |

Which section of the forum would you like me to post it in Lee when it's done? I think I'll work on it tonight and some tomorrow. Oh OT I got some good news I'm going to be speaking with a credit consuler on Wednesday so yeah that should ease my stress some what. |
