$4.88 DVDs
-Send Me No Flowers (Rock Hudson/Doris Day)
-Lover Come Back (Rock Hudson/Doris Day)
-Road to Singapore (Bob Hope/Bing Crosby)
-Road to Zanzibar (Bob Hope/Bing Crosby)
-Road to Utopia (Bob Hope/Bing Crosby)

$5 DVDs
-Viva Las Vegas

-Titanic ('53)
-Holiday Greetings From the Ed Sullivan Show
-Fear Chamber (Karloff)
-Frankenstein's Daughter

Must've cost about, what, 70 bucks? Not a bad price considering all the movies you got.

That's about right. I know it was well under $100 and while some are the often-dreaded $1 DVDs, I've been pleased with the quality, so far. thumbs up

If you have a quality DVD player those $1 DVDs play just fine. I gave my dad a hand-me-down player and he used to have problems playing his cheap movies on it. Luckily, he's got a newer player now.

You know, I had a decent player, but it was very touchy about DVD-Rs and cheap DVDs, I now have a couple of region-free players that play anything I've thrown at them, including these cheapies.

I have a Sony region 1 player that I bought a couple of years ago. Cost 80 bucks then and it plays everything I've got too.

I love having a couple of players that will play anything, it's so frustrating when you settle in to watch a DVD and it won't play, drives me insane! hyper

Thanks very much for the reminder, Ro-Dan. :) I've never seen this series, so if I can afford this collection, it will be my first time viewing it.

Wow! Not a bad price at all! I went a little nuts on Monday and went to the 'big city' and picked up, Nosferatu ('79/2-Disc Set), Agatha Christie's Ten Little Indians, As Time Goes By (Season 5) and Family Affair (Season 1). One day too early to see Ultraman and probably a day too early to save any funds, but I will try and grab this series!

NOSFERATU: THE VAMPYR is a pretty good film. A little slow (but in a good way), very moody, and atmospheric. When I saw the film for efirst time I was depressed for about two hours after seeing it. It had profound affect on me.

Oh yeah...one more thing...

Excellent purchases! thumbs up I must admit, I have never heard of film number four, though. Films in your fifth spot I own, but the Region 2 single disc releases. I may have to look into the double feature set and replace my Region 2 discs, if necessary.

I remember the preview for, Frogs as a kid, I believe I was about 7 and that trailer on TV scared the heck out of me, espeically at the end when the human hand was shown hanging out of the ftog's mouth! freak out

Squirm is one of those films that probably if you read the synopsis, you might laugh it off, but it's a very affective film and has it's fair share of very creepy moments.

I was a bit disappointed that, The Flesh Eaters didn't include the deleted scen within the film, that's how I originally saw the film and I'll have to double check, but I don't believe the color sequence at the end of the film is included, except perhaps as a bonus feature? Been a while since I sat and watched the disc, I may pop that in, today, just to refresh my memory.

Won't have to tell you to enjoy those purchases......they're a given to be enjoyed! Mr Green
