For those who enjoy giant monster movies be sure to check out THE MEG, opening in theaters on August 10th, 2018. This film, based on the 1997 book "Meg", written by Steve Alten, features an enormous, 75 foot long Megalodon shark! Other giant monster movies that we fans can look forward to: GODZILLA KING OF THE MONSTERS(in 2019) and GODZILLA VS KONG in 2020! PACIFIC RIM-UPRISING(2018), the sequel to 2013's "Pacific Rim", is about to release to Ultra 4k and Blu Ray. In these movies, 250 foot tall robots defend Earth from an assault of other worldly giant monsters(kaiju).

This is one short film, clocks in at just 62 minutes, but it's great fun. Directed by the late-great Terence Fisher, best known for his association with Hammer Studios.

The planet is devestated by some strange force and a pilot returns to the ground to make the discovery that he is one of a handful of survivors in the UK. Soon, the survivors begin to see the dead come back to life and robots wandering through the streets. It's a race to see if the survivors can avoid the reanimated dead as well as the robots.

I have not seen this film, so it will go on Packmule's DVD "Want List" for 2006. There is a very good review of this movie by Dave Sindelar at Scifilm.org. Here is the link: Review of "The Earth Dies Screaming"(1965)

That is a very good review of the film, it's an odd little offering, but one I enjoy and in spite of the shortcomings, I revisit it quite often. I'd think the short run time for the film could make it easy to watch.....you don't feel as if you've wasted anything, if you only give 61-62 minutes of your time and you don't enjoy the film. ;)

While looking around for sources from which to purchase The Earth Dies Screaming(1965) I came across this site, which includes Kimi, this DVD title, along with some other fun films, including Burn Witch Burn!(1962), a title I have been looking for for a very long time. The link: Sci-Fi Station

Outstanding site bravo clap , I wonder what the quality is like and the time from order to receiving is like. I see they also have, Frankenstein 1970, I have heard there is an unedited version out there, wonder if this site might carry the unedited version?

I have read some very positive reviews concerning Frankenstein 1970. I have not seen it. I will probably try to get it, along with two other horror titles on DVD-R, Burn Witch Burn!(1962) and The Boy Who Cried Werewolf(1973), towards the end of this year or the early part of 2007.

Can you email Sci-Fi station about the "Frankentein 1970" film version they have? I'm sure they have a contact email address.

I know that this title is also available at Something Weird Video. You might want to check their website, Kimi, for their price of his old movie, before getting it anywhere else. The link: Something Weird Video

Thanks, Lee! I take it that's an official DVD release? I'd prefer to have official releases, whenever possible.

The "Something Weird" website has Monster A Go Go(1965) paired with another film, and it is listed as a SE DVD. I have ordered a few DVD-R's from SWV and I have never had any problems with their products. I would tell you that I waited for several DVD-R's I ordered for well over a month. When I called them about the status of my orders, I usually got a curt reply from someone on the other line telling me that they always have high sales volume so it takes longer to shipout. The average time from my online or mailed in order to receipt of product was 4-6 weeks. I do not think much of their phone reps Kimi, but the quality of their DVD/DVD-R's is, IMO, topnotch.
