This one in your movie collection, in any format, Kimi?

No, this isn't, Lee. I saw this film some years ago, with Dad and recall enjoying it, but haven't seen it since that initial viewing.

I believe The Flim Flam Man(1967) use to air, periodically, on AMC. I'm perplexed as to why it's not on R1 DVD, considering such a stellar actor like George C. Scott is the principal lead actor in it. confused

Occasionally, there seems to be no rhyme or reason as to how or when certain films make their way to DVD. Much like, Gnaw: Food of the Gods Part 2....a horrid little film, really, but that made it to DVD long before the upcoming release of the orignial. eh?

I actually looked up The Flim Flam Man(1967) at both the TCM and AMC wesbites, neither of which has this film listed in their database. freak out I am certain I saw it air on AMC once but that was ten+ years ago. I've never seen it air on TCM. I may email TCM about this-ask them if they have it in their film archives. Couldn't hurt, could it? heyo

Can't hurt a bit! :) I do that quite often, especially with films that have no official DVD release and then there are instances, when the film receives a DVD releases.....I;d like to think I nag TCM so much about certain film titles that they beg for an official DVD release, just to get me off their back. Well Kimi, you told me once you are great at nagging. Apparently that talent of yours got through to TCM. I was impressed by their professionalism when I brought to their attention, several months ago, an error they had posted in their text description of the film Mothra(1961). They responded, apologized for the error, and corrected it expeditiously, also thanking me for alerting them to the mistake. thumbs up

I sent TCM an email a little while ago asking them if they have The Flim Flam Man(1967) in their movie library. I'll let you know their reply when I receive it. :)

So do I. I also sent TCM an email asking them when(and if) they plan to air Mothra(1961) again. I suggested to them that they might want to air it around Halloween, or when they have some other sci-fi/horror movies scheduled.

I do wish TCM would dedicate Friday nights as classic sci-fi/horror nights. I know they do the TCM Underground or did, but I think for many of us, Friday nights and Saturday afternoons were all about classic sci-fi/horror films, when growing up.

After months...no, make that years of fruitless search I have given up trying to find Captain Nemo And the Underwater City(1969) and Tidal Wave(1975) on DVD-R media and/or VHS. I have checked at Amazon.com, eBay and some other local locales(internet and otherwise). They just aren't around anywhere I've looked. I would be satisfied for VHS tapes of these movies because I know someone who can record them to DVD-R...whether they have anti-copy protection or not. I would also be satisfied with DVD-R's of both. No telling when the "Nemo" film will air again on TCM(it aired about 18 months ago). That may be my only chance to get this movie on a DVD-R. As for Tidal Wave(1975), a butchered, campy "Americanized" version of Toho's disaster film Submersion Of Japan(1973), and starring Lorne Greene, I might advertise my "want" for this title on VHS or DVD-R, but not sure where. What about the CHFB, Kimi? Think someone there might have one of these titles? heyo

Goddamnit, it's pissing me off that I cannot find them. very angry

That may be a great place to post your search, Lee. I have seen plenty of folks over there in the past, asking about help in finding a film with many offers of help following the request.

Great list, Lee. thumbs up Let's see, just off the top of my point little head, I'd add....

-Corruption
-The Gorgon
-Destination Inner Space

-It! (Curse of the Golem)

-Atom Ant
