Let's hope this "Croc" film is better than the horrific CGI slop-fest of Lake Placid 2.

very funny

I've seen this DVD at Best Buy. In fact, I see it every weekend. Based on your description of this movie, I suspect the DVD will still be there at the end of the year(and beyond).

Posted at Fangoria.com: Severin Films has announced plans to release Nightmare Castle(1965) in its original aspect ratio and uncut. The negative of this old horror film was recently found(in Italy) hence the release, which will showcase a remastered and HD transfer. There have been a lot of cheapie discs on the market for this movie starring 60's horror hottie Barbara Steele(including Alpha Video) so it's great to see this classic finally get the "star" treatment on DVD. No exact release date has been announced yet. An update on this one will follow: http://www.fangoria.com/news_article.php?id=6918

Thanks for the link, Lee....I was beginning to think, we might not see the cover art till release day!

Not genre related, but I'm pretty excited, regardless......Two Fat Ladies is coming to DVD. From all I can tell, it's the complete series and will also be released on 29 July....this could be an expensive day! Mr. Green

The assault on bank accounts of DVD movie collectors continues unabated. Yet one more reason to wish money grew on trees:

Warner Home Video is planning to release some 1960s horror classics on DVD as Best Buy store exclusives. Releasing On 10/7/08: Brides Of Fu Manchu(1966)(starring Christopher Lee), the film paired with Chamber Of Horrors(1966). The other double feature DVD release: The Shuttered Room(1967) paired with It!(1966). All of these films will have anamorphic widescreen transfers and retail for $19.98. Well, not sure if this has been posted already (since its old news), but BCI will soon be releasing the complete series of Ultraman on a 6-disc DVD boxset. I think they already released volumes 1 earlier this year. Anyway here's some info:

Ultraman BCI
'The void is that which stands right in the middle between this and that. The void is all-inclusive, having no opposite — there is nothing which it excludes or opposes. It is living void, because all forms come out of it and whoever realizes the void is filled with life and power and the love of all things' - Bruce Lee

Been awhile since I posted updates here. Some that caught my eye in the last week:

A "Steel Box" R1 edition of Dog Soldiers(2002) arrives in retailers on 4/7/09: http://www.horror-movies.ca/horror_14433.html

The vampire flick Let The Right One In streets on R1 DVD on 3/10/09: http://www.horror-movies.ca/horror-movie.php?id=6768

Jason Statham reprises his character "Frank Martin" once more in Transporter 3(2008), the third film in the "Transporter" franchise and scheduled for release on standard and Blu-Ray DVD on 3/10/09: http://www.amazon.com/Transporter-3-Single-Disc-Fran%C3%A7ois-Berl%C3%A9and/dp/B001QB9H10/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_k2a_2_txt?pf_rd_p=304485601&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-2&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B001QB9H1K&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=19DFA2DZMVZGH8MGM5SE

I'm hoping to possibly pick this one up as some sort of boxed set with the other two films. I've held out buying these for awhile...now I'm thinking maybe all 3 on Blu.
