You know, when I was at that new Best Buy in New York state a couple of weeks ago, they told me that you can go online, order a certain DVD and actually choose to have it sent to that particular store and you won't have to pay shipping costs and they will call you when the DVD is in the store. That would be great for me, if we had a close store, but in what I pay for shipping, I would easily spend that cost and more in gas to get to the store.

Here's hoping they (Best Buy) are helpful in holding a copy for you. :)

Thanks for the heads-up Kimi. Just so you know, there is some "scuttlebutt"(US Navy slang for "rumors") on the Classic Horror Film Board that Universal may have delayed the release of this set. There is no definitive word on it, just a lot of talk and innuendo. That said be prepared for a delay in this box set. It could happen. eyebrow

That will definitely make for an unhappy Kimi. thumbs down I was almost sure this was too good to be true and if it's delayed, I will be bummed. Hopefully, if there is a delay, we might still see the release before Halloween, so we can enjoy these gems during the month of October. Thanks for the warning, Lee.

I would not mind a delay if the reason for the delay is so that Universal can ensure the best quality for the box set thumbs up

I certainly can't complain if that's the reason. I hate delays, as mentioned so many times in the past, patience is definitely not one of my strong points....I hear about an upcoming DVD release for a favorite film or films and I want them, yesterday. ;)

Well, I received an E-mail notification telling me my package will probably ship on Monday 18 September, as UPS doesn't work weekends. Hopefully, that means it will arrive on Tuesday! Mr Green

I have seen many members at CHFB gleefully reply that they also had received emails stating their order of this DVD set had shipped. Try not to hyperventilate too much after you receive it Kimi, and remember to take slow, deep breaths... tongue-1

 I can't make any promises, but I will do my best to relax and enjoy this DVD. When Mom brought me back to the apartment, this afternoon, FedEx was here and I was so excited, I thought perhaps that was my package sitting on our doorstep, but the FedEx guy was still here and asked if 'Ray' lived here and I replied, nobody by that name was here and told him, I thought he was bringing me a package and now I was all disappointed, he apologized and laughed and said he hoped I received what I was waiting for, tomorrow and I said it can't get here fast enough! tongue-1

I'm going to order it online at Best Buy's website tonight before hitting the rack-and pay for expedited shipping. I might have to take my own advice about taking deep breaths, upon receipt of this DVD set. faster <!--emo&shifty eyes-->Posted Image<!--endemo-->

Cool Beans! Mr Green I just checked the status of my order and according to UPS, the package is out for delivery! rockin

 Yes, one must always heed their own advice, as I'd hate to think of you being forced to breathe into a paperbag to get your breathing under control! ;)

Excellent, Lee! thumbs up My package arrived in the afternoon, yesterday and my UPS guy told me I've been very good of late, as he's not delivered any packages and I told him it wasn't because I wanted to behave, but rather I had to. :(

I immediately sat down....got my breathing under control and watched the first disc that houses, Tarantula and The Mole People and I was pleased with that disc! thumbs up

Though I consider all of the films that are part of this DVD set to be stellar, it is the ones that I have not seen that I am looking forward to the most: The Mole People and The Monolith Monsters. I saw bits and pieces of Monster On The Campus as a kid but no more, so these three are essentially new viewings to me. thumbs up
