Well, you're still very young, and you have plenty of time to accumulate wealth.  thumbs up

And I plan to! Mr Green
All in due time of course.

When you become wealthy keep me in mind when hiring a full time gardener for your estate. tongue-1

I sure will! Mr Green
The way I see it, why hire strangers when you can hire people you know?
Sorry for not being around much lately, I've just finished the final script for my next film.
I should also mention that I plan to release my new short film next July or so, being a low budget (NO BUDGET!) student film it probably won't be great but it'll fun to make never-the-less. Mr Green
I've got to go to auditions tomorrow to cast the actors for the film, that should be quite fun too.

Anyway, speak to you later!

Are you a gardener then Packmule?

No. By title I am a Landcape Foreman. I started as a landscape laborer back in August of 1995, and have worked for several different landscape companies. In my current job I supervise three(3) to five(5) men performing various landscaping work. The scope of my work is wide: planting various sized trees, plants, ground cover(like ivy), or even grass(called "sod"). We also perform maintenance on our client's properties as well: pruning of various sized shrubs, fertilization(shrubs, turf), and aerating(turf). We also do a lot of pine strawing in January and February. Lastly, we install "color"(flowers) on a seasonal basis(Spring and Fall). Many years ago I also, for about two(2) years , ran crews that constructed stone retaining walls and varieties of stone patios. I have not done any "hardscaping"(stone work in landscaping) since 1998, though I did, on weekends, and up until about 2000, build walls as side work. I am a Certified Landscape Technician and also a licensed Category 24 Pesticide Applicator.

The work is dirty, physically demanding, and the pay is, at best, modest. I make, including work I do on the side, about $25,000 a year. I have made as much as $30,000 a year(in salary). I plan on staying in landscaping until I am 50(about another five and a half years), then I would like to get on with a home improvement retailer, like Home Depot or Lowe's, and work until I retire. :)

That's a pretty full description you gave there!
Sounds like your job's pretty tough, mine's quite bad too. Mr Green
Nevertheless with all that experience you should be good at gardening.
You know, I just realize I've not been on this site for 3 days! How does time fly.
I've been rather busy with my film, my production team is getting very demanding and I'm close to being kicked out of the Director's chair!
It turns out that our 15-minute film is gonna cost us about £650 to make, that's quite a lot for a student film, especially when the budget for the film is £0.00!!!
The script is done, the actors have been cast and now I'm just waiting for November to come so I can start filming, I still gotta do storyboards though. :(
Ah well, once the film's out the way I'll then be able to continue with my other film which I'm planning to make.

I'd like to think I am. I have worked for two master gardeners, both women(one full-time, for about a year, and the other PT, for about four months). Master gardeners have a detailed knowledge of plants and often specialize in garden design. They have a reputation for being very picky, and both master gardeners I worked for were exactly that. The upside to this kind of work is that the pay is usually better. I also got some experience with plants that I would not normally see in general landscaping.

If you don't mind my asking, how do you make any film with a budget of zero? eyebrow

Easy, just borrow a camera and film! tongue and cheek

We basically have to rent out a house to film in (£450 gone just like that), then we have to buy lots of costumes for our actors (£200 +). Now ususally students wouldn't spend extra money buying costumes but I really don't want my characters to wear normal clothing, especially when Dracula's one of them! Mr Green

I take it the motif of your film is going to be horror? eyebrow

Well, I call it a "Horror-Themed Action Comedy" (a.k.a. Horror-Spoof Mr Green )
There will be other films competing against mine and they're all either Horrors or Thrillers, I didn't want to do the same thing as everyone else and decided on Comedy which is actually the hardest genre to write. Still, the actors loved the script and for that we were very popular during auditions, in which I played the part of Dracula (because of my accent), we got someone better to play Dracula though, however I WILL make a cameo appeareance in the film along with the other crew members.

That's good. What role does your cameo appearance entail? A bystander, or perhaps a monster of some kind? eyebrow

Well, as far as I know my roles are:

1) Vampire Henchman Mr Green
2) "Shaggy" laughing smiley

Of course these roles are subject to change.
I was going to play a zombie at one point but it got cancelled.

Yeah, pretty much! Mr Green
He won't really be called anything in the film though, he'll just run past at some point with "Smooby".

You can use the below image to design the character's apparel. Note the emphasis on baggy pants. tongue-1
