The Pit and the Pendulum

It's the only one that could really creep me out.
This is one of my favorite horror films starring Vincent Price. The way he went from sympathetic victim and a man teetering on the brink of insanity to a vengeful and cruel sadist, intent on killing his supposedly dead wife, was IMO masterful, something only a handful of actors could have pulled off. thumbz up

That was definitely one of Price's great acting moments, I can agree. I think Price plays the "troubled" character role very well, he's quite convincing in the role of a man who isn't quite all "there". coolbeans

Ah, Vincent Price. You have to respect a man who can take a break from a (very, very successful) horror film career to perform a campy role in the Batman TV series, which really is my favorite Price appearance. To have such a fun, goofy villain played by Price must've been hilarious for the actor himself.

And it appears he agreed with me. Quoting Wikipedia,

Quote:

He often spoke of his pleasure at playing Egghead in the Batman television series. One of his co-stars, Yvonne Craig (Batgirl), often said Price was her favorite. In an often-repeated anecdote from the set of Batman, Price, after a take was printed, started throwing eggs at series stars Adam West and Burt Ward, and when asked to stop replied, "With a full artillery? Not a chance!", causing an eggfight to erupt on the soundstage.

This makes Vincent Price awesome in so many new impressive ways. And to answer the topic question, I vote House of Wax for favorite Price horror film, though the only other I've seen is the Fly.
