I've heard nothing but positive things about this film, so I hope to get this one. I have heard that the ending was slightly altered for the U.S. theatrical release, because test audiences didn't care for the original ending. I want the R2 disc, so I can have the original ending!

When you mention "quality", Kimi, are you referring to aspect ratio, extras, print quality, or all of these, in regards to the film the Deadly Bees(1966)? eyebrow

Lee, as far as I know, this Amicus film has never had an official VHS release in the States and there's no DVD release in any region that I can find. :( A friend sent me a copy of the film that she'd taped off the USA network, several years back and it's got a lot of speckles/snow in the picture, but I'm so thrilled to have it, I watch it, anyway. All I want is a copy of this, would love to see it receive an official DVD release, but at this point, I'll take it in any format and upgrade, if it becomes available on DVD.

-Curse of the Fly (Region 2/4)
I have this film on DVD-R, in letterbox format and with decent print quality(like VHS). I did not like this film, released in 1965 and shot in B&W, as much as the first two in this "series", The Fly(1958), and Return Of The Fly(1959), but it will keep you interested. Brian Donlevy was solid, as usual, in this film. I was somewhat disappointed in the makeup effects of the mutants. eyebrow

I'd agree this film isn't as rock-solid as the first two films in the series. I think the idea for the storyline was decent enough, but a definite lack of budget held back on what might have been some truly hideous creatures. Still, I'd like to get this in my collection, let's hope Santa is listening. Mr Green

Mr Green If I have any $ leftover right after the holidays, I hope I might be able to 'gift' myself with a title or two. ;)

Though pricey at $31.95(plus shipping) you might want to try and order Goke, Body Snatcher From Hell(1968) at Xploited Cinema, or from the DVD-R site I mentioned by PM( tongue-1 ). I watched a trailer of this 1968 film-I believe it was either at Veoh or YouTube. If you happen to access a computer with broadband access in the next couple of days try and catch an online trailer of this movie. It looks good. thumbs up

Here's a link for the trailer at YouTube: "Goke" trailer at YouTube

Godzilla Raids Again

You'll like this one, Dan. Classic Media has done a very nice job with the 1955 Toho classic.

In regards to Ghidrah The Three-Headed Monster(1964), I have seen this movie listed on a couple of sites under "January, 2007" for official DVD release, but nothing more specific. eyebrow

Jess Franco's, Count Dracula, starring Christopher Lee is set for a R1 DVD release and that's being added to my wish list, but I don't believe it's being released until early 2007.
