While I've never actually watched the cartoon what I've picked up about it is despite being about the US remake Godzilla it seemed to try to be more like Godzilla's hero period during the late Showa era which would have to be and improvement over Godzilla US

I like the cartoon series based on the '98 Godzilla film a lot better than the movie, you can be sure of that. The animated series is fairly interesting and has some cool storylines. Many of the monsters GINO squares off against also look very cool. thumbs up

The only good thing GINO spawned, it's other spawn were trolls on IMDB who flame fans of the original movies...they're mostly 12 or 24 year olds who have the brain of a 12 year old... ;)

well I'm kinda in that selected age grouped there....but I totally agree that most art idiots around my age will only watch things that have been spoon feed to them by mainstream Hollywood no matter how crappy it is....also they seem to not wanna watch anything over 10 years old which baffles me as I personally think movies were better back in the day...I'm quite partial to films from the 80's myself.

Well I'll give it a shot...one thing I've noticed about it is that you can clearly tell it's made by the same people that worked on Extreme Ghostbusters and the MIB animated.

Well I think I watched this and enjoyed it, although I doubt I saw all of them as it was on a little early for me.

I liked Godzilla: The Series more then the movie, it was IMO more faithful to the Original Japanese Godzilla films and Godzilla himself. topper

When I was young I watched the show every morning before it was canceled, I liked how there was new monsters for Zilla Jr to fight, it was entertaining to see him kick other Monster's butts. noddy coolbeans

I have got "The Monster Wars" trilogy on DVD. Mr. Smiles

I recently got an email back for TVShowsOnDVD.com. I had asked them when the second season of Godzilla The Series would release to Region 1 DVD. Their reply: it hasn't been announced yet.

I saw this show befor, wasn't that bad. I was happy that Zilla Jr had attributes to his character that where like Godzilla. It was good he differs from his father, or we would see him running away like the coward zilla was.
When I went to Toys R us once, it was 1999, and They had a VHS copy of the series, it's the first two pilot episodes, it's very rare now I here. Am I right?

Out of curiosity I googled "Godzilla The Series on VHS" and here was the result: http://www.google.com/search?q=Godzilla+The+Series+on+VHS&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a

I'm inclined to think that this series is becoming harder to find on VHS, since this media format became permanently second tier to DVDs back in 1997. winky
