The creation of video games is often based on current events, as this article touches on: http://www.cnn.com/2009/TECH/05/26/current.events.games/index.html

Well, E3 has come and gone. Lots of interesting games coming out for the PS3, Xbox, and Wii. The news I was waiting for though for the PS3? God of War III! It looks simply bad-ass! The bad news though? After what everyone was hoping for a Fall 2009 release, Kratos and God of War III wont be released until March 2010. Oh, and the PSP gets a major change and upgrade with the PSP go. Looks like i'll be trading in my PSP for this version. 16GB of flash memory to buy and/or download games, and Grand Turismo 5! Yeah baby!

I was surprisingly impressed with the PSP's showing this E3. Besides the PSP GO, they also announced a ton of major games for it, including Motorstorm, Little Big Planet for PSP, A Metal Gear Solid sequel, Resident Evil Portable, Tekken 6, Soul Calibur PSP with Kratos as a playable character, plus a bunch of other stuff. They've also ramped up the PS1 classics downloads and they are starting to release all the blockbusters so we can download 'em straight to the PSP off the PSN store. I'm thinking of picking up Final Fantasy 7.

I'd forgotten how addicting those Pokemon games are. Just got Platinum a few days ago and I already have 6 badges...

Eagerly awaiting Heart Gold and Soul Silver. Mr. Green

Not very encouraging....not that I was going to purchase this title but the review isn't exactly a vote of confidence.

I still plan on getting it, not every review is bad for a game, IGN gave it a 8/10, GameSpot gave it a 7, 7.5, and an 8 for three different systems and Game Trailers gave it an 8.6

I'm still pretty excited about playing it. Gametrailers thinks that if you're a fan of the movies, then you're gonna enjoy the game.

Has anyone seen the news about Marvel vs Capcom 2 being released via download? Am I the only one excited about that? Trying to buy that game can run you over $80.00!

A $100 price drop on the PS3 by August, 2009? Maybe, maybe not: http://videogames.yahoo.com/events/playback/playback-57/1330001

Supposedly both the PS3 and 360 will be dropping in price by fall.

Good news for anyone who's looking to get a next gen system.

Speaking of which for those with a PS3 wouldn't it be nice if a future firmware update added Crackle support? For those of you that don't know Crackle is Sony's online video streaming and they have a lot of Kaiju stuff up. I'd love to watch those in HD from the comfort of my bed or couch.

Yeah, I'm happy about it...even though I actually own a PS2 copy of the game. But it will be nice to finally be able to play it online. I'll most likely download this title day one it's released.
