Speaking of gaming, I love my 360 but damn is it shotty hardware. My current 360 which is also my 4th was freezing on me last week so I can barely play any games. I tried making it RRoD because I'd have to pay $90 to get this one fixed. I was unsuccessful at that but I thinking of just calling MS up and telling them it has RRoDed apparently they don't check.

I've decided in the fall I'm just going to go out and buy an Elite and get the warranty on it. By that time the market should be saturated with the 360's that have the Jasper chipsets and since they use smaller processors and gpus they're less likely to fail.

I'm probably going to get one from Best Buy and get their warranty just to be on the safe side so if it does freeze I can take it in and exchange it no hassels.

I may pick up KOF, but not right when it comes out...maybe after a few months because I've got plenty to play for now. Hopefully by the time I'm ready the price will have dropped a few bucks.
I'll let you know how it is, I should get in some game time this Sunday.
Well can't say I'm too happy about getting KoF XII to be honest. It's a solid game but not for me. It's been a while since I've played a KoF game but this one wasn't exciting or anything special. I'll can't recommend this game to anyone who isn't a fan of the series. The backgrounds are quite beautiful though.

I think I'm going to get BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger since I've heard plenty of good things about this game.

That really sucks...it still boggles my mind that the 360's are still having issues. I've had the same PS3 while my cousin is on his 3rd 360. It's just crazy...

Blazblue is made by the same people who made the Guilt Gear series, right? I've always liked the graphic style of those games but sometimes the controls were a bit complicated. Regardless, it looks more interesting to me than KOF. Let me know what you think of it.

Yeah I've had no issues with my PS3 or Wii it's just my 360 that's given me issues.

Hopefully when I get the new one in the fall I won't have any issues.

EA(Electronic Arts) was recently assailed for their marketing ploy at this past weekend's Comic Con in San Diego, CA.. As part of EA's promo for their "Dante's Inferno" video game release, EA asked con attendees to "commit acts of lust" with the models working the floor and/or booths of the convention, then upload photos of their shenanigans to web social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook. Winners of the contest would receive various prizes from EA.

I wouldn't mind committing an act of lust(or two) with G4's Olivia Munn. tongue-2

All I have to say about BlazBlu is good luck finding it...I had to go to about 7 Gamestop stores before I found one copy (PS3 version of course). But now that I have the game, I have to say that I'm really impressed with this game. I've never played any of the Guilty Gear games (yea I know, shame on me...) so this was all new for me. After been jaded with Street Fighter 4 (most of the characters are the same), this was a real adjust. All the characters were completely different from each other. There is a lot of depth to this game...I'll probably end up getting a guide for this game. The graphics I think are amazing for a 2D fighter. The backgrounds are pretty sweet and the characters themselves look just as good.

So I guess the consensus is Blazblue over KOF...interesting. I've watched alot of video footage though of KOF and it does just look like the same old thing with slightly better graphics and animation.

I think I'm going to download Marvel vs. Capcom 2 when it releases and then possibly pick up BlazBlue at the first price drop. I just beat Prototype and am now working on Prince of Persia, another game I had been wanting to play but didn't get around to until just now.

Yea definitely BlazeBlu over KOF 12 easily. I'll even take BlazeBlu of Street Fighter 4 (but only 4). BlazeBlu has an anime feel to it though so that might turn off some people. But the fighting mechanics of the game is pretty damn good in my opinion.

I'm going to download MvsC2 when it's released (IGN is reporting it's out already but it's not). I can't wait for that, I use to play MvsC2 at my old laundry mat (own the top score on that machine!).

Interesting...that's all I can say...I'm not into renting video games anymore just because it takes me while to beat most video games and I like to take my time (not to mention I work and have a life lol).

The PS3 is now officially going down in price. An 80GB will cost you $299 and a 160GB bundled with Uncharted will cost you $399.

Source

Sadly though these versions of the PS3 are way gimped compared to the 60GB which has full BC (backwards compatiablitity) with PS2 games and also has media card readers.

Finally the new $299 Xbox Elite is also getting gimped as it will no longer ship with an HDMI cable or Component Cables. Odd so your best is to wait for the price drop then go get the old bundles if your interested in a 360 that is.

Yea seen the news about the price drop and the PS3 "slim"....both mean nothing to me unless I have to get a new PS3, which I hope never happens because I like my 4 USB ports, the multicard reader and full PS2 backwards compatibility Mr. Green But with that said, it sucks I paid over $500 for my PS3 (game, extra controller and HDMI cord) and now it's down to $299.
