Im not really a fan of turn based game im more a a FPS gamer I have a $140 budget for a New ps3 game any ideas
God of War isn't an RPG it's called a Beat-Em Up. Goes back to the days of Double Dragon or Streets of Rage.

Just got my Netflix streaming disc in today and I'm not impressed with how the PS3 does Netflix now, things load up much slower than on the 360. I tested out a few minutes of "The Host" which is being listed as in HD but unfortunatly the film starts up and they switch it to 720x480 which is a version of Full Screen HD so the image looks stretched.

My suggestion is to hold off on Netflix till it gets implemented in a firmware update.

In a moment here I'm going to start playing Prince of Persia for PS3.
I started that but am currently stalled on it due to playing Batman and Borderlands right now.

What's your PSN ID? I had meant to friend you awhile ago.
CrowMagnumMan I think. Feel free to add me on there.

Arkham Asylum is a lot of fun. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Been playing a lot of Prince of Persia. Funny that Nolan North, the voice of Nathan Drake, does the voice of the Prince. He's a great voice actor, but he feels a bit out of place here after I got so used to him as Drake. Still, he's fun to listen to. I was kind of hoping for a bit more story in the game, but I'm still liking it a lot. The acrobatics and fights are really fun to play.

I also decided to give Dragon Age: Origins a chance, since it's made by Bioware, the people that brought us Mass Effect. Mass Effect is an astonishing game. I've never played anything like it before. It's an RPG, but it also works as a shooter.

Dragon Age: Origins isn't quite as good. The graphics are a bit sub-par, and the actual gameplay is pretty clunky. But it's really rare that an RPG can have good combat that appeals to the button-mashing gamer such as myself.

However, I gotta hand it to this game. It's a LOT more fun than I thought it would be. I was wrong about the combat. It's not completely lacking in physics. It still involves the whole select your enemy and then attack each other until one of you dies, but at least when you slash or fire an arrow(presuming you don't miss your target), your target reacts realistically to the blow. This helps make the fights a bit more tolerable.

But what really made me enjoy the game was how story-oriented it is. Something interesting and plot-relevant is happening all the time. The stellar voice acting and epic cinematics sure don't hurt either.

One thing that disappointed me was the lack of voice acting done for the character you play. Mass Effect managed to provide a male and female voice for the player, but Dragon Age musters only the occasional remark.

For whatever reason, I'm enjoying the game quite a bit so far.

Just got mine yesterday also. I haven't tried it out yet though. Are you running yours on the original PS3 or on the PS3 Slim? (not that I think it will make much difference) My wife wanted another Blu Ray player, so she went out and got a 250GB PS3 Slim, and switched that out with my 120GB PS3 Slim. So now I have re-enter all my PSN info yet again. I'll try it out here in a little bit, but i'll also continue to watch Netflix movies on my PC too. I actually didn't expect them to ship the disc out this soon.

It was the old style PS3 and I did some research from other users on Gamefaqs and yes apparently it's an issue with all PS3s that should be corrected when it's implemented into the system directly with a big firmware update next year.

My guess is it'll be in firmware 3.5 or 4.0, since they usually save big stuff for x.5 or x.0 firmware.

The only current advantage the PS3 has over the 360 is that Netflix does Dolby Digital 2.0.

So again I guess just hold off on it until it's directly implemented into the system. It's really a shame because I prefer using the PS3 for watching videos since I think it does a better job at it.

I wonder if anyone has found a way to make standalone BD players R0 with standard DVDs I might pick one up so I can watch my R2 and R3 Goji DVDs again.

Just tried the Netflix disc on the PS3. It's alright I guess. Slow loads, but ok for now. Most movies are in standard definition though. You can choose to watch some HD movies, but you have to go to Netflix.com and go to Watch Instantly, Genres, HD, and then add the HD movie of your choice to the Instant Queue to watch it on the PS3. I tested watching Romeo Must Die (love Aaliyah, God rest her soul) in HD on it and it worked fine. As mentioned, this will get better when future firmware updates are released.

I've been playing it on PC. Sounds like it's a bit harder to play without a mouse and keyboard, but I'm sure it's still fun on PS3.

I've never played any of the God of War games, so this is gonna be awesome. Of the games being released this month, I'll possibly be buying Assassin's Creed 2 and God of War Collection, while possibly renting Modern Warfare 2.

You got the best version of the game, apparently both the Xbox 360 and PS3 version suffer from graphics issues and framerate skips.

I myself haven't started the game yet but I plan too after I finish SW:TFU Ultimate Sith Edition which will be tomorrow or Monday night.

My brothers bought Modern Warfare 2 for PC, and I rented it for PS3 since my computer isn't as good as theirs are. So I'm gonna play it right now.

I don't own one, but honestly I don't really like the idea. It has no UMD so you lose the option of purchasing any games in the store, and often times with sales and clearances and such, games end up cheaper in stores than they do on the PSN store. Secondly, it comes with 16 GB memory but you can buy memory sticks that big now if you want, so it's not like you can't equal that amount of memory with a standard PSP. Overall I really just don't see many big advantages to the GO. I think I'll stick with my PSP slim.

Actually it does have a memory card slot too Josh so you can have up to 48GB of storage since the PSP has memory sticks up to 32GB I believe.
