Well, Alabama almost coughed up their shot at the National Title by almost losing to Tennessee. (in a good defensive game)
I watched that entire game, Russ. It's my kind of game: a defensive meatgrinder. Give Tennessee credit, specifically new Volunteers(and former TB Bucs) defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin and his defense. Those guys made Florida work hard for their home victory like Alabama this past weekend. Look for Tennessee Volunteers All-America safety Eric Berry to go high in the first round of the next NFL draft.

If the Vols can develop an offense look out because with Monte Kiffin handling the defense the Vols will always be tough on the defensive side of the ball.

I really wish LSU would have played against Florida as well as they played against Auburn. I was shocked at how poorly Auburn seemed to play this weekend though. They usually put forth a much bigger challenge to us and we beat them 31-10, only because they threw for a meaningless touchdown in the last few seconds of the game.

I must admit that I like to watch college football but I don't get to often because I work a lot on Saturdays.

I believe the 2009 college football BCS champion will be one of these listed teams: Florida, Alabama, Texas or Southern Cal. winky

I'm always hopeful LSU will make it again. I missed their Championship win in 2003 but I was able to see it in 2007.

The winner of the SEC Championship Game (Florida vs. Alabama... if they remain unbeaten up to that point) will undoubtedly be the BCS National Champion. Giving the almighty SEC another National Title. And if it's Alabama, it will no doubt make Crimson Tide fan, Melodelicious, a very happy person.

Well, it's official. Florida will meet Alabama in the SEC Championship Game in what should be the Game of the Year. (and hopefully, a match-up of still unbeatens) The winner of that game of course, will be in the BCS National Championship Game. (but against who?)

Yeah, that's the general consensus. And I hope it will be them. But what if they slip up say, in the Big 12 Championship Game?

...FIU (whoever that is)
http://www.fiu.edu/

I'm looking forward to seeing my father's alma mater, Georgia Tech, in action against Clemson in the ACC title game in two weeks. The winner goes to the Fedex Orange Bowl in Miami, FL.

I was also delighted to see Notre Dog, er Notre Dame, lose in 2OT to the Connecticut Huskies, 33-30.

I was also pleased to see my best friend's alma mater, Ohio State, secure the Big Ten title this year with a 21-10 victory over the Michigan Wolverines. thumbz up

All I know is, we get the college football game of the year in two weeks when No. 1 Florida faces No. 2 Alabama in the SEC Championship Game. Florida should beat Florida State next week in Tebow's final game at "The Swamp," and Alabama should beat Auburn in "The Iron Bowl."

I too was glad to see UConn beat Notre Dame. Charlie Weiss' fate was sealed with this loss. He'll be back in the NFL next year for sure.

Where do you think Tim Tebow will go in the NFL draft? I personally think Tim will go to either the Seattle Seahawks or the Washington Redskins because both teams need a stellar QB.
